UBC - TRUE VISIONS. What a bloody disgrace.

If any help, I have caught some of the Olympics on the Thai NBT channel, but confess no idea as to when and what might pop up next. Suspect that if a Thai chance of a medal, as per Prapawadee's gold in weightlifting, it might be covered.
I have UBC mainly for English football, BBC news, BBC Prime,music channels. Occasionally, discovery, history channels - if I can get Thai partner off the soaps!
Incidentally, Football Focus tonight(Tuesday) which is entertaining. With Queen's birthday and Mothers' Day today, not sure there'll be much, if any, sport on Thai channels.

Noticed the other day when UBC were advertising Football Forcast (the preview prog) there was a notice at the bottom of the screen saying "NOT IN THAILAND"

I reckon that we are being penalised coz the British Govt. hasn't arrested and deported a certain individual with footie connections back to face trial in Thailand.

I think you'll find that the replacement is AXN BEYOND, as the ordinary AXN remains. The other new channels introduced 1st June are ASN (All Sports Network) and Nickelodeon. These channels are for Platinum Truevisions subscribers only.

BBC Entertainment was probably the main reason I opted for the Platinum deal. As i've posted elsewhere, other than a TV mail announcement, there was nothing on Truevisions website about the changes, or content of the new channels. Maybe they feared a mass 'downgrading' by customers, or complete cancellation. Even the new mag doesn't have a schedule for ASN yet. Personally, I'll wait to see if ASN offers enough sporting action, which interests me, or I might 'drop'back to Gold and save a few baht. So far, ASN seems to be offering NHL Hockey (that's ok), NFL Superbowl, Bull riding and Formula Drift. A moaning email to Truevisions about lack of info sent! A guy did mention cricket sometimes?? (which I'd enjoy) but generally that's likely to turn as many viewers off as on!
