hmmm.. thinking back there've been a number of forum strings on "dog poisonings." So, I'll retract my previous statement that Thai's won't kill dogs.. In thinking about it, I can recollect a variety of different villages and places around Udon where Thai folks have complained to me that their dogs and others in the neighborhood were indiscriminately poisoned. Guess some people can only get pushed just so far with the barking aggressive dogs.. The poisonings also included the Wat dog pack at my nephew the Abott's temple grounds in a village 30km south of Udon..

When I was living at Nasai, Nong han,I had a lovely dog he lived at the farm with the " son in law"
Sometimes This dog found a frog to chuck about, But after, used to froth at the mouth.
One day,The brother in law called me.' Pa? dog Ill frothing at mouth" I said no problem just frog. One hour later, he called me again' Dog die now'
He was poisened! Had i known, The Missus said could have saved him.She said force raw egg down his throat. But It was too late.
It IS quite common dogs poisened here. These" people" are heartless and
They regard dogs as lowest of low.
Another occasion,Little puppy we had barely 6 months old.Old Yai witch across the soi beat him with a stick. It broke his back.Vet could do nothing ....Put down!Poor dog was in agony all day and night.I will never forget his screams.

Yeah, my Outlaws have had a couple of dogs poisoned and they had their German Shepherd stolen last year.

They have about four dogs left. Bl**dy mutts start howling every time the last jet flies out of the airport at night. Then all the other soi dogs start. It puts the willys up the locals.

Morti, maybe the dog was latching onto a toad rather than a frog. The imported cane toad in Australia has venom glands on its body and frothing does occur if the dog gets a good dose.

Sorry,I meant a toad.yes I know the Toad secretes a substance from its skin which causes the frothing of the mouth.
But also, the same results when poisened.I wonder what these calous people use? I think maybe Rat poisen.

soi dog's

Postby kjellsnell » December 28, 2011, 3:20 pm

Yesterday I was walking with my little 4 year old daughter when two large dogs attacked us. Normally I do not care so much but this time I had the daughter with me and so was my "best and worst 'guard mood. It did not help the dog owner and his adult son just laughed at this mess. What to do?

I took a loose plank from the dog owner's fence and I chased the dog fuckers into the house. Then I threw the plank at the feet of the dog owner. Next time I pass this house with my daughter, I will bring my, for the day newly manufactured, stick with an iron nail into the tip and run it up the ass on the dogs. If the dog owner have anything against it, he can get himself a game too! After that, i can allways smile and make a butyfull wai for the audience! [-X
These days life seems pretty good and I eagerly look forward to the continuation!

May I suggest you don't take your daughter pass this house in future. She probably will have no choice in the matter but often the beast will beat the man. I would hate to hear that your daughter has been injured or even worse. I think most of us hate the lack of control by the owners of dogs but T.I.T.
Thai people can be very revengeful (It's called saving face )and you may end up with the weapon up your own ass [-X
