Toyota Car Race this weekend in Udon Thani

Stands are sit up at Tung See Muang, Toyota is sponsoring it.

Practice Saturday, a lot of the area will be blocked off to traffic in that general area.

Races Sunday starting at 9am Thai time.

Hey something to do if you don't mind the heat or rain depending which one it decides to be .

Last time it was based on time not direct competition.

There was a truck going around with Toyota signs on it, bullhorns blaring with a sporty Toyota Yaris following behind. Possibly same same? A Toyota Yaris race?

Anyone know the route?

I want to steer clear of the traffic snafus.

I think basically stay away from the Nam Prajak area.

when having this in the past, it was on the street racing, around NPJ, past fbi, i think, and tung si muang. if not mistaken all were toyota, yaris is the small entry level toyato, similiar to the vios, handa city, little more low rider style hatchback...........i think...........and this info is 50/50 accurate.

it was a few years back when i remember the last one, though seemed like a nice day out. if going, i would stay on the NPJ side of 'track', just in case of mishap. though with the streets in such fine condition, if a street race as before, speeds can be too high, though a 1000 kilos has to hurt no matter how hard it hits you. too early for me, missed the past one, but couple people said it was a fun day out. see if i can get motivated, w/motorbike parking shouldn't be a problem.

shame it's not a night time race, would be nice to watch from the Arena bar/rest.
