true visions problem

Postby denz » January 7, 2012, 11:59 am

just bought a new tv - connected ok to truevision cable stuff but a few channels (about 5) have vision, but no sound. (they were ok before with the old tv)
so this is confusing me! ie how can most channels have vision and sound, but a few just have vision?
any advice on what to do is much appreciated!

Might be your TV audio options being set to either English or Thai. Just a guess on my part.

Some channels are like this for me to....problem comes and goes....i think bad satelite signal can be the reason but....i am not shure! :-k
These days life seems pretty good and I eagerly look forward to the continuation!

true visions problem

I had a similar problem after updating with a SONY BRAVIA.

To solve the problem I finished up using the following sequence ( to cut a long try and test method short )

1) Press the Menu button on the remote control
2)Go to Settings
3)Select Channel Set Up, then use the right arrow on the circle above the menu to go to the list on the right
4)Go down to Manual Programme Reset
5)Select TV System and Press the center button on the circle above the menu to display the systems

There are 4 systems listed on mine which are BG, I, D/K and M.

I found that on the channels with no sound they where on one of the last 3 (in my case )

After comparing the settings on the ones with sound and vision I noticed they where all on BG so I changed the ones with no sound to the same selection ( BG )

I found the sound was restored and the problem solved on my first channel so then went through the rest and did likewise with the same positive result.

Not sure if it will be the same in your case Denz but worth a try.

If this doesn,t help post and i,ll do a reset on mine and re check the sequence.

I cannot do it at present as the wife is watching the soap on channel 9

Good luck anyways
