Are the kayaks allowed in the dam?

The musician is Rasta Zam. He stays with our neighbors when he's performing in Khon Kaen...I think he has a facebook page. At the dam itself, right where the Nam Phong River resumes from the dam wall, there is a sign that says (in Thai) no fishing or entering the water. That's why we start about 300 yards downstream. As far as kayaking on the lake, there are many places to access the water and you'll often see other boats, tubes, rafts etc. I would imagine the area of the lake right at the dam may be restricted.

We're going to start doing some kayaking tours on the Mekong River soon-Chiang Khan, Loei & in Nong Khai.

Played to Ubolratana golf course a couple weeks ago for the first time. Very nice course. Will certainly play again. Stayed at the Paradise River resort. Nice place. Clean and comfortable.

We paddled 30 minutes to The Paradise Resort...great place on the Nam Phong River and they have 4 tennis courts. We're in the process of arranging some packages with them now.
