The aim of the fund raising event was to raise money for the school to improve it's toilets, which were dire.
The fund raising day itself had 72 entrants, playing a Texas Scramble format. After the golf the golfers enjoyed a meal and took part in an auction, bidding for various items that were donated by Society members. The auction was expertly managed by Malcolm MacKenzie and Trevor Edge.
At the end of the afternoon after some ridiculous prices were bid by various members the Society had raised 21,000baht towards the school project.
I can now show those members who were present, but maybe not in the country now, how the money has been used.
The initial idea was to improve a 3 cubicle building, that was used by the children.

As you can see, major work was required. Unfortunately, when the school spoke to various builders, the money raised was insufficient to do the major changes required, so it was decided to improve the second, 2 cubicle block that was in better condition.

Today, the school had a ceremony to officially open the new improved toilets. No, I didn't have to "christen" one.

As you can see in the photo above, some work has been done on the 3 cubicle building. New doors, tiling etc. The interior is much the same, but the school intend to renew the interior soon. This block will be used by the boys only.

As you can see, the 2 cubicle building has been extended to make it a 4 cubicle building and hand washing facilities added.
Total costs of the improvements were 35,000baht. The 7,000baht labour costs were met by the school.
Once again, thank you to everyone who has contributed to this project.
