Udonmap.com - webpage very slowly

for many months now have udonmap.com been the most slowly webpage I am looking on - I have normaly fast connection 9mb - and all other webpage I am looking is running fast - but udonmap.com is so slowly

how can it be ??????????

I hope it will soon get better !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With respect have you been living on another planet. This has been discussed many times on a previous post.
The Udonmap has been very slow for many weeks now. I don't think anyone has come up with the reason and I've just grown used to it.

There doesn't seem any hope of it reverting back to how it used to be

Bearing in mind that the subject has been discussed at length, however it is also accepted that the problem is not universal eg I, for one, don't have a problem.

The problem I was experiencing back in early January

was very intermittent not an all the time, every time issue.

Since my last complaint on that thread (5th. January) the pages have loaded as swiftly as any other site that I visit.

In fairness to Lee, if you want him to try & resolve the issue wiking you really must give him a few more clues as to what system(s) you are using, what pages you are trying to load, what actually happens - with print outs, or screen copies if at all possible.
Have you, for example, tried only one internet browser, or is it exactly the same with all browsers....

I get this with Firefox 10.0 a lot of times. I get frustrated and give up.

bobhelm, if you working working with the internet, I am sure they know the problem

I have tried explorer-mozilla-chrome

if it is only udonmap.com who is slowly you can be sure it is their server they are using who is the problem

al the other 1000 webpage i visit, no problem - only udonmap - and I only bring it up to hope they fix the server or get another provider - because they living from people who looking their webpage and we like to get inform this way, therefore I hope lee will fix udonmap problem

I've also tried all 3 with the same result. I have windows XP2. My PC is up to date. All other websites open immediately except for 1 other. For some reason dailymail.co.uk suffers from the same problem.
I'm sure Lee is aware of the problem and is trying to establish the cause of this abnormality.
Unfortunately not all members suffer with the same problem which probably make it even more difficult to diagnose.

"The Udon Map site is now working much better than last week. Quicker to open and when changing topics. It seems to be about as quick as it was prior to the recent problems. It continues however the slowest of all sites that I use. Every other site I visit opens and closes much faster than UM, but I've grown accustom to that and expect it. Something I can live with and just somewhat slower than the rest."

I have a 10 mg connection and every other site I open works fine. Have the same slow response on all 3 computers in the house, one of which is nearly brand new. I've just accepted the fact the UM is going to be a pain much of the time when trying to open and navigate the site. Mai bpen rai.

I have been in contact with the host multiple times over the past few weeks however they are unable to find a problem. They have tried replicating the errors by opening links in quick succession over a period of time, however they have not experienced any errors whatsoever.

They have adjusted a few settings to improve overall performance and I have tweaked a few settings on the website, but it seems the problems still exists for some members.

The trouble is not everyone is getting this problem and the site works OK for some members which makes it very difficult for me to fault find. And for the members that are having problems it mostly happens randomly.

The host did say that there is a lot of website traffic and this could use up memory resources so they suggested upgrading to one of their smart servers.

I'll keep an eye on things for now and if things don't improve I'll look into upgrading.

Can you list the websites you're not having problems with so I can run a few speed comparison checks.

I would suggest loading the forum main page's html code onto another host server, a different one than the one you are using, then speed check for a comparison?

Lee, why not do a poll of members asking responses to specific questions that might help troubleshoot the problem? For example:
Where do you live? (Udon/US/etc)
Carrier (TOT/3B/TTT/etc)
Operating System
Browser
Specific problems encountered (slow loading, error messages, etc)

Maybe if enough people respond you'll find the answer that you need.

I don't know what you've done Lee but at 1238 it's working much better. Not the quickest site to open but a great improvement
