Fisrt time I have been able to log into this site for several days now. My wife, who lives in the village, called me saying that she has not had internet service for about a week now. Is anyone else having problems? I am from the US.

yahooooo your back up and running, after at least 48 hrs where my Internet Explorer couldnt get thru to you..

One of the servers that udonmap is hosted on was powered down a couple of days ago in the middle of the night for some emergency maintenance.

The data was transfered from the damaged server to a parent server which is a lengthy process. During this time I could not access the website or emails so I had no way of notifying anyone. The host couldn't give me an ETA so there was not much I could do but wait.

I'm pleased to see the site came back on line early this morning. It looks like everything is OK, however the site was restored from a backup so some posts may have been lost during the process.

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused everyone.

Could the member who created the thread with the translation re the Ban Dung expat arrested 3 days ago re-post it please.

Welcome back UM. Been getting withdrawal symptoms. I even logged on to the talkers to see if there was any sensible news. Nope! Amongst all the premature RIP's there was even a suggestion that Jack and I would be back there soon . Hell freezing over comes to mind . :-"

Just a point though Lee . Are you aware that your contact email info@udonmap doesn't work when the site server is down? Maybe a more general address might be in order .

Good idea Val. I do have a gmail account which I use as an alternative. This little incident has certainly highlight the fact that we need an alternative contact address. BTW if anyone would like to save this email it is udonmap1@gmail. com
