Extended my retirement visa today at NK Immigration based on bank balance.Had my letter postdated to todays date so they I could go early in case it was busy.Stopped by the bank to update my balance in the bank book early thid morning while I was out for my morning run,to coincide with the bank letter balance.Got immigration about 0800,first one there,about 815 the big woman comes in ,waves me up to the date and processes all my paperwork,no problem,finished in time to take it to the Supervisor to review and sign off ,as she just arrived at 0830!
Goes through everything signs off,then asks for my bankbook,tells the first lady that processed me that my bankbook needed updating.Then tells me the same thing,''Go update ,come back,OK?''
The ATM updater does not give a new date unless the balance has changed from the last update and I had not noticed that the date hadn't changed!
When I went back to the machine,I ran 6 times,esch time ,it would not give todays date.Had to go in the bank and have them update so that it printed the balance with todays date.Went back,had to pay 5 baht for a copy of it to be done there and out the door.
Everyone working in the office was pleasant!Didn't see any problems going on with any of the people there processing!
