If you were an American and could vote for the next president, who would you want as your leader?

I've got 400 posts on Udon Map and haven't sold my soul.

That puts me miles ahead of most politicians everywhere.

Well, let me see, if I had the honour of becoming a citizen of the United States and could cast a ballot for the President of the great Republic, I would vote for Prince Charles. Of course that would make Camilla the First Lady. This would be a vast improvement over the current situation.

However, Charles has more important duties and responsibilities awaiting him in the future and could leave at any time to assume Kingship of the United Kingdom and certain countries like Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

Yes, Prince Charles would be a nice fit as President of the United States. He has my vote!

What a nice promotion that would be. Skipping over all the intermediary posts like speechwriter to the assistant undersecretary of the Coast Guard, deputy white house switchboard director, and chief strategist and executive officer to the First Lady.

Tilokarat,,,,"Yes, Prince Charles would be a nice fit as President of the United States. He has my vote!"

I don't know about that, Tilo,,,, IMHO he has a lot of baggage to overcome for most people. His Mum, on the other hand, is held in very high regard by most Americans and would probably have a greater chance of getting elected........ :^o

No, Prince Charles is an inspired choice.

His verbal gaffes and personal flaws will just endear him to the American public even more. Plus, a few appearances with the late-night talk show hosts, Leno and Letterman, and a session with Oprah will put the Prince right up there in popularity with the great heroes like Tiger Woods, Brittany Spears, Mel Gibson, O.J. Simpson, K. West, et al.

In addition, he is the intellectual equal of any American President since Roosevelt, with maybe the exception of Nixon.

The only baggage the Prince has to overcome is Camilla, but her winning smile and fashion sense will garner her even more sympathy and support for her husband.

I mean if the Americans can place Lassie, Don Rickles, Wolfe Blitzer, Phyllis Diller, Edith Bunker, John Wayne, John Madden, Donald Trump, Mitch Miller, Jerry Lewis, Jerry Springer, Sal Mineo, Truman Capote and many others of that ilk on a pedestral, the Prince and his consort have no worries.

This is hypothetical. The only one on Tilo's list who made president was Lassie. I think Edith Bunker was a cabinet member of some sort.

Yes, you must have missed it.

At one time in the not so distant past (probably only about 6 months ago) there was a big bruhaha over there being so many topics on American politics. Those who didn't want to read about it didn't even want to see the thread topics on the board.

Someone made a rule that all political threads about America had to be in a single thread no matter the topic. Then the rugby boys decided that they not only didn't want to read the threads, they didn't even want the single American political thread on the board. Then the thread was locked and eventually deleted after an announcement that it was better if American politics was not discussed at all on the board.

Rugby...wasn't it the football/soccer lads that led the charge to rid the forum of American politics. Maybe the cricket and rounders enthusiasts got involved too?

No matter, it was a wise decision.

Well NKSTAN, I guess that means the Cisco Kid is out too, but there is still hope for the Lone Ranger and Trigger.

What about Jim Bunning? Is he still throwing strikes on the Hill?
