Thanks for that EG but its gotta be a Vespa or Lambretta , if i could choose have to be the Lambretta just for the memories it invokes , this Stella looks very similar but its not got that certain jernasayquar oreet .The Lambretta is longer slimmer , sleeker sounds and moves so much better BIT LIKE ME REALLY !!.

MASH ........... did you have a Harrington jacket ???

Scoots are very personal pieces of machinery. The memories and emotions evoked by a fine machine are components that can't be explained to the uninitiated. I hope you find what your looking for. Here's a photo of mine, wish I could bring it back to Thailand with me when I return in September.

Couldnt open the link to the photo USAV.

Ive googled the topic header (thailand) with a few sites/suppliers coming up 2 decent ones but every machine sold , i reckon its gonna be a classified mission or maybe an accident where i bump into someone with one for sale , usually Thais will part with owt if they see or smell the money .

Mash memories .... my scooter was beside me when i lost my virginity twas on a calm summers eve in a flowery meadow , the birds singing , the wind rustling thru a nearby copse and the dulsit tones of ginger minge Glenda Smith saying COMON LETS GET IT OVER N DONE WITH CRACKERJACKS ON THE TELLY !! ...... i loved her but she left laid semi naked in a pile of cow sh*it , just me n my scooter ............... i was 29 at the time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and scared for life

Would think spares for Lambos are hard to find here, but for Vespa a lot easier. A lot of spares for Vespa come out of India

VESPA or LAMBRETTA

Postby pienmash » August 10, 2011, 9:54 am

Chriss i googled spares for Lambrettas and quite a few places in BKK came up showing pics n prices for most parts , i think the problem will be finding a Lambretta to buy as on the same sites ALL the machines were sold . Ive got a mate looking for an Li 150 or 175 for me , gona give it time and if cant find a Lambretta will get a Vespa .

Thers a Vespa sprint in the classifieds but i beleive its sold already as the ad was well old.

Anyone got the Quadrophenia dvd , soundtrack or album on cd some classis tracks Green onions , louie louie etc

mash ............ memories going to Southend on a rally and meeting Michael Elthick of Boon fame then finding out he croaked it soon after , getting pulled in by the plods on the way home for the theft of a grandfather clock from a boozer ????? bearing in mind i was on a Lambretta li 150 the sex machine just where i would put a grandfather clock is beyond me , STILL IT LOOKED GREAT IN MY GRANS HALLWAY ..........

VESPA or LAMBRETTA

Postby Sateev » August 10, 2011, 11:04 am

Used to be a night market at Ladprao Rd, corner of Ratchadapisek, in BKK, with all kinds of Lambretta/Vespa parts and whole bikes for sale, as well as all the usual night market crap. It was on the SW corner, but it had moved to the NW, just past the MRT station. It seemed a lot smaller, and a lot less 'organic', and didn't have too many motorbike parts, so, even before we moved here to NK, we kinda lost interest.

I would think, however, that there MUST be a club in BKK, and/or another weekly venue where they trade parts. Probably your best bet.
