Hi Brit,

I've always dealt with the one near the airport for both my imported dog and cat without a hitch and they seem to know what they're doing. If you're coming from the Nong Kai road end near Tesco, travel down to the airport turnoff and once you've turned off left, you'll immediately see a building on the left which is the vets. Parking in front.

Cheers

No worries Tim - I see your name now! Hope the pup or cat is better. I miss mine - big goofy black retriever/lab cross of 40kgs called Harley which I took to Udon from Aussie. I'll see him when I'm back there which is hopefully not long away. He's the only pup I trust completely with my 1 year old girl - he guards her from all other dogs which is unbelievable to see.

Good luck,
Phil

I second Phils recommendation, we take our dogs there and have always been impressed by their service and the care the animals get.

Based on the recommendations, I may give this vet a try at curing my dog's stomach rash. Our present vets put her on a 4 month plan with expensive meds and office visits every week or two. The latest straw was drawing blood from the dog's foreleg while I held her down and that ain't easy to do with a pit bull. Good thing that she's such a good natured dog, normally. The vet has me look into his microscope every visit at what he calls fungus spores. OK, see something moving in there but WHY is it taking you four months to treat it? No clear answers forthcoming. Something lost in translation, maybe? Hope not but get a feeling it's become a case of Ka-Ching! or cash cow.

Anyone have a phone number for this vet near the airport?

Back in Udon on Saturday for a couple of weeks Phil. My wife's nephew has a really lovely dog - which always seems to have pups whose fate I'd rather not contemplate. I want to get her spayed. Only a 'soy dog', but I'd really like to do this for her. She's well loved by the nephew but, being rice farmers, they aren't in a position to pay for this.

Thanks again

Tim

Polehawk, the numbers are 042 346396 or mobile 084 513 8348, name of the vet sis Lookmai Animal Hospital or something similar,

BTW - I recommended this place to a falang friend out here who has a couple of Chow Chow's, one had a nasty skin rash and after 3 visits it was pretty much cleared up. I think he said it was also a fungus spore infection. He said each visit cast about 400bht including meds.

Thanks for the info, Kudjap or Bust. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats so looks like we will be throwing some business their way.
