Missing my girlfriend, what about you?

Post by ruktur » September 3, 2005, 12:55 am

Hi Guys or girls,

first of all I want to say:

in 2003 - 2004 I lived in UdonThani for 1 year, I met a girl when my parents visit me in Thailand and whe make a trip in Isaan! My parents like foreigner food so we go to "mandarin restaurant"! And at that moment I felled in love with a beautifull girl, her name "ratree or tidty"!

Now I am 27 and she 25 years old she already whent to Holland/Belgium for 3 motnhs in Februari!

First she did'nt like all the "sad/bad" faces overthere but I told here; "that's because of the cold/rainy weather"!

After 1 month it whent better and whe make some nice tours over here to paris/eurodisney/luxemburg/amsterdam, etc.." when I say goodbye to here she really want to come back here again and to live here and she want to marry me!

After that she go back to Udon again it was terrible to live alone again! My boss promise me that whe can marry each other in December!

So I was happy again, but because of "bussy times" and of course my work/boss, I have to wait till Februari, again 2 months longer!

Really if you love your girlfriend/future wife and you have to wait 2 or 3 months longer it is difficult!

I just put this one in the forrum for "all the guys that live in Udon" that maybe can give me some support! Because WHE really miss each other "kittung maak maa" and MAYBE you can give me some support for help me?

Thanks for all and I love Udon!

RukTur or Tommy

No support - sorry (ask you mom)

Advice - yes !

take your time and let the bubble burst - dont become another Thai -Farang faliure statistic because you let your heart rule your head.

Everyone says it wont happen to them "coz we love each other"

The proof is all over Thailand buddy - Take your time and really get to know each other first.

Thats all - Good Luck and enjoy the moments now :)

advice, well, hang in there.

but paul's advice is spot on. the good part is she already has a passport and can come to you. the recommended way to go. slow and get to know, as paul pointed out. long term relationships at rough, multi culture relationships throw in another wrench. don't become a statistic like so many have, more than not. the odds are against you.

saying all that, good luck. just consider how long your past relationships have lasted and DO NOT invest lots of money or marry unless she has agreed to live permanently in your country, as you are way to young to retire. do a pre-nup, trust me, saved my ass. do not by a house in thailand unless YOU are ready to live here everyday. and good luck again.

advice and lessons learned the hard way from many, let our mistakes and hindsight be ours, not yours.

Looks like every one is missing their girlfriend or wife, or both, or maybe boyfriend!
