Which TV provider telecasts both BBC and Australia Direct in Udon Thani. I have an annual subscription with Home Cable and both channels were available this year but are now not telecast.

I don't know about BBC, but for Australia+ you will need True cable.

Alternatively, one of the streaming apps such as kodi may be a solution if you have a good internet connection.

Has anyone tried any satelite TV around here?
I've heard that you can get satelites that pickup channels all over the world!!!

I am building soon and will need to get something as well.

As far as I know, and way back many years,I had a satellite movable dish.
The motor went U/S ....twice.
Waste of money! But most channels were scrambled anyway.
Only ones left were Chinese, indian etc.
I recon Home cable got sussed using prescribed channels.FREE!
Finally got scrambled! Like BBC !

For once 1 partly agree with Morti.. :D

I think getting TV these days by satellite is rather 'old school'.
If you have one then it would be sensible to carry on using it but I think it is an unnecessary expense if you don't.
(The low cost, 1 off model to pick up Thai TV for a wife/girl friend excepted. :D )

Via the Internet is really the only way to go if you want to watch 'Western' TV in Thailand.

There are threads on here on a couple of the different ways of doing that if you want a reliable (but paid for) subscription to Sports or UK TV programs.
There is a thread somewhere on a loaded up Android box that is an initial cost only (watching is free).
Then there are a huge variety of free programs that will grab just about anything from anywhere - as long as you have basic computer skills. I use TVMC because it suits my needs.
For News items there are a host of Applications for Android, Apple & Windows that will download either daily news. or 'breaking news' to phones, tablets & computers that can be re-directed to the TV if you like large screen viewing...

Well and good if you have a good internet connection, if you are out in the sticks like me then forget it.

Hi Guys
I am moving to a village about 35km east of Udon. Can anyone recommend best TV/Internet packages that will work out there.
Thanks in advance.
