left me homeland with minor jock itch, and now which might also be part of it, clean out a rat infested room, the old torso and things, forearms, have become a red itchy crawling mess...Need a good English speaking doctor, before this hot weather makes it worse, or drive me back home..thanks...there was a good english speaking lady doc you guys went on about

Just had a growth on me neck cryo frozen by the guy who does skin treatment. Others have used him for treatment.

Had a friend who developed a red crawling rash over its body after returning from Thailand. It stated on his legs and moved upwards to his arms and chest. Dry and rough skin with a few lesions as well

I am pretty sure he told me that they diagnosed the problem as a type of demo resulting from a deficiency in Zinc (could have been Magnesium, but pretty sure he said Zinc) in his body and put him on a course of (Zinc) tablets. Either way, several weeks back, when I sure him, his skin had cleaned up dramatically.

PS. I am not a Doctor.

I just checked with him and the Allergist at Bumrungrad, after a number of tests, identified the cause as vitamin deficiencies and prescribed,

Probiotics to stabilize the gut
Zinc tablets
Selenium tablets
Vitamin B12 tablets
Using hypo allergenic cream

The two key Vitamin deficiencies were Selenium (No 1) and Zinc (No 2). Apparently a common problem of living in Thailand is a Selenium deficiency, for some.

the rash is dying away somewhat after a dosing in cider vingear, plus that stuff you die your hair blond, and the stuff you swab an area before cutting you open...but last night, and it seems always at night , things were crawling all over me..lesions like a minefield..I am sure it a parasite that lives under the skin and is sensitive to light..but off to the quack next week..see if its all in the mind..

I wouldnt hang about Maaka . Rats can spread a parasite from a scratch that will kill you if not treated . The longer you leave it , the longer its going to take to sort it out .Youve already wasted a week !!!!!
If it was me , id forget a skin doctor and get to a hospital that knows what they are doing . Maybe the Military .

Rats can cause many diseases
like Weil's disease, which can be life threatening
Consult ast fast as you can an internist (AEK, Bangkok hospital} Military maybe specialist not available immediately

You might need to have a bath in Hydrochloric or muriatic acid

Seriously, pick up some of those Selenium vitamin tablets from the Pharmacy and start taking a course of them. Don't think they are very expensive and I am sure the Thai's will have a Generic one
