PEA bill payment via app

Post by tamada » October 28, 2019, 10:06 am

Is anyone using the PEA app to scan and pay their electric bills via their smart phone? I note that the first part of the set up requires the 13-digit Thai ID card number. Has anyone used their 13-digit pink car/yellow book ID to successfully register as a foreigner?

^ Does K+ recognize the QR code/barcode on PEA bills or does it need the PEA account being set up as a payee in the app?

I have BB's Bualuang online and their smartphone mBanking app and AFAIK, some more setup is needed as their app doesn't natively recognize the QR code/barcode on the bill.

SWMBO registered the account in the app and has since taken over dealing with it. However before that I was able to pay using the barcode in the SCB app with no setup required.

^ As I suspected. Despite frequent 'updates' the mBanking app is behind the times.

I paid my PEA bill several times using their app, and it's too detailed and time consuming. I now pay using the Krung Thai Bank NEXT app, and it's a very simple process. I can also pay my Provincial Water Authority bill on NEXT.

For in HIM dwells all the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily; and you are complete in HIM, who is the head of all principality and power.

Even easier:- We still get both bills on hand written parchment and pay the girl there on the spot!

Not only behind the times but also going to discontinue the iPad app that is better than the iPhone app
