Hello from John and Panida
Hello from John and Panida.
We have just taken a condo for the next 12 months in Lumpini Place while we look for a place to buy and make our home.
I English and she of course Thai.
Where the best place to meet new friends?
Anything interesting going on in the next couple of weeks?
Thanks J and P

Maybe try one of the Sunday roasts at Le Gallery, Chris's Place, Papafarang's, Le Country Grill. Wednesday pizza at Le Gallery. Friday special at Chris's Place. Usually quite a few farangs at these venues.

This is what happens to ya when your a newbie here, no one talks to ya, well not until you have done at least a winter here..nah just kidding, thats what we did back home on the remote island where I lived..wouldnt waste our breath until you had proved yourself, as most couldnt hack it and returned to the mainland within a year.
Me here , they thought I was a troll first thread up, for asking quite a straight forward question..they are a finnicky lot.
anyhoo, welcome aboard Johnny and P.

Youll need to be aware that some of the stuff you read on here will shock you ........ 99% is pure "wind up" and usually said very much tongue in cheek. In normal times many who appear to be at each others throats on footie/cricket/political threads would be sat round a table or at a bar drinking and chatting together.
I note you use both John & Johnny (hope it's not Jonathan who was last heard of down on the Islands when "everyone went to the fullmoon")
Hope to bump into you soon for a chinwag as soon as we are allowed out to play by PM (15 Jan ???)

Re: Hello from John and Panida
Depends on your interests. Fishing? Bridge? The social scene is somewhat depressed these days - Covid, ageing farang population and very few tourists. Tell us what you like to do and you will get more suggestions.

Who 747? The imp in lilac, the misplaced fan of the Evertons or Fawn aka Westerby aka Matron aka Earnest et al.
What part of Sweden are you from?

John's buggered orf, I hope he wasn't intimidated by the lilac Teletubby. I must work harder at winning friends and influencing people, readers.

Re: Hello from John and Panida
Hi again all. It is John. Not Johnny that was added by someone here not me.
If I told you I was a film star would any of you believe me?
I travel all over the world working in what used to be called B Movies.
I show up in TV series too.
Met Panida and we clicked and wanted to make a home together.
She is Thai and her family live not so far from city.
So when I not working I will be here with her and when working she will be half the time here and half with her family I think.
For sure will be going to an UdonThani FC game or two.
This will win me few friends but I born in London and I am a proper little Hammer. West Ham
Before working in TV and movies I was a professional show jumping rider on the Country Show circuit along with the likes of Harvey Smith and the Whittaker Brothers. All who much older than me.
As I not yet 50 I guess that makes me a youngster in the foreign community here and I still working out in the gym and love most sports.
That tells a little about me and I add a couple of pictures to give some of you a laugh!
