I wasn't sure where you were taking us. I see it's familiar ground.

It seems the right to bear arms written in the constitution equals the right to kill for almost no reason by many of the youths in the USA, sad indictment of a nation who proclaims to be the worlds policeman, try policing your own country and changing the law, which of course will never happen as we all know .

Ha ha, I was pointing out the simple fact that ever since these incidents of shooting students has occurred the All powerful Gun Lobby seems intent on not allowing those who wish to do away with the law regarding gun ownership . So basically until that happens these incidents will continue , of course the argument will always continue, guns do not kill people, people kill people . However justifiable people try to make that sound, it is true we have less Gun crime in Europe as a whole .
No matter what anyone says , sadly the law allows this to continue and I understand the great reluctance of some to change that law. Nut speak to the parents of the children and even in many cases the children themselves . Politicians seem unable to grasp that fact, obviously more scarred of the Gun lobby that the millions affected by gun crime .

Here's an interesting side bar. After the Japanese decimated our fleet in Pearl Harbor Dec 7, 1941, they could have sent their troop ships and carriers directly to California to finish what they started. The prediction from our Chief of Staff was we would not be able to stop a massive invasion until they reached the Mississippi River. Remember, we had a 2 million man army and war ships in other localities, so why did they not invade?
After the war, the remaining Japanese generals and admirals were asked that question. Their answer....they know that almost every home had guns and the Americans knew how to use them.
1. The world's largest army ... America 's hunters! I had never thought about this....
2. A blogger added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and arrived at a striking conclusion:
3. There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin .
4. Allow me to restate that number.
5. Over the last several months, Wisconsin ’s hunters became the eighth largest army in the world.
6. More men under arms than in Iran .
7. More than in France and Germany combined.
8. These men deployed to the woods of a single American state to hunt with firearms, and no one was killed.
9. That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania and Michigan 's 700,000 hunters,
10. All of whom have now returned home.
11. Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia and it literally establishes the fact that
12. The hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the world. The number of Hunters in the state of Texas would be the largest standing army in the world by it's self.
13. The point?
14. America will forever be safe from foreign invasion with that kind of home-grown firepower.
15. Hunting -- it's not just a way to fill the freezer. It's a matter of national security.
16. That's why all enemies, foreign and domestic, want to see us disarmed.
17. Food for thought when next we consider gun control.

WE ARE keeping our guns!
Colossians 2:8-10...See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. For in HIM dwells all the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily; and you are complete in HIM, who is the head of all principality and power.

no, the Japanese most assuredly could not have launched a trans-Pacific invasion of the U.S.

1. they didn't get our carriers at Pearl Harbor.
2. They didn't get our subs.
3. They already had the bulk of their troop transports and naval forces tied up with the invasion of the Philippines and the Dutch East Indies (present day Indonesia).
4. They didn't have the logistical train to support troops all the way across the Pacific.
5. Their focus was getting oil resources from the Dutch East Indies, pushing the U.S. out of the Philippines and the Brits out of Malaysia and Singapore.

American politicians probably consider the culling of their human population as the same as the culling of their deer/Rabbits/seals and anything else that moves .... do they call it SPORT?

Please dont try and tell be thousand of Hunters proves that the USA has a hidden Army in waiting for invaders. What you have is an unorganized hell bent group of gun toting people prepared to shoot at anything that moves.

Definition of an Army is
"A large well organized, trained body of armed personnel to fight on land"
Organized not even close, Trained yes to hunt deer, rabbits, ducks things that dont shoot back at you.

No plan, no resources, no communication, no supply routes doomed before you start.

"they didn't get our carriers at Pearl Harbor." REASON They weren't at Pearl Harbor

"After the war, the remaining Japanese generals and admirals were asked that question. Their answer....they know that almost every home had guns and the Americans knew how to use them."

The US Mainland was not Japans main objective and was not turned down due to
the American carrying a hunting rifle
They wanted a secure foothold in Asia to insure resources were available to Japan, oil, rubber, minerals metals to feed their growing Empire.
Their supply line to aid an invasion of the US was weak and to sustain it would have been impossible

Hunting has diddly squat to do with National Security
