There was a film about Princess Diana a couple of years back.....cant remember the actress for sure.....hyphenated name....maybe Kristen or Serena Scott-Thomas ??.....but very dodgy accent
I'm sure the Brits on the forum can come up with more examples

Some excellent movies mentioned already.
Another great movie i never tire of is......'Duel', 1971 with Dennis Weaver, Fantastic.
And there is something about Grease that i can't put my finger on, a early trip out to the cinema in my boyhood days with a new girlfriend in tow might have something to do with it...or could just be the superb John Travolta.

Yeah,it was Serena Scott-Thomas who played the role with a dodgy english accent (had to look it up on the internet).westerby wrote:Kristen Scott-Thomas is English.Zidane wrote:Like Alan I dislike American actors/actresses playing Irish but equally cringeable are the Americans playing upper class English, along with the posh accents.

A link I use a lot to find info about movies. Use the search engine at the top and it gives movie review, rating, cast, trivia info, goofs, etc.

Have many favorite movies. But I'm reluctant to name them on a forum or even a casual date. It used to be a a topic for casual conversation, but since the internet came alive many banks and credit card companies use "Favorite Movie" as a security question when you apply. Trust me, I have been interrogated by unscrupulous women many times that only wanted that type of information to make a fast buck. So far, I've counted myself lucky. Or maybe I'm just paranoid...
they ask for....favorite movie
first car
pets name
I say "why not just ask for my bank account number and PIN and SSN, that's what you're trying to get?"
be careful here Gentlemen, remember it's a online forum.

'Er indoors was watching The Departed, she asked me how old was Leododo Di Caplio, went to imdb so now I know Leonardo Di Caprio's mother's maiden name, father's first name, dogs name, brother's name, his favourite movie, favourite actor, favourite director. Armed with that and given that he makes $20 million per movie I think you are ok TTF. Relax!tingtongfalang wrote:Have many favorite movies.
