If I'm reading this correctly Udon has had 15 cases between 22 Mar and 9 Apr
And you believe government proganda, try telling the hospital's that
Where did I say i believe it? Many members are quoting different sources.
Where is your best guess or constructive contribution to this thread?
Where did you say you didn't, why post if you didn't think it was real what's constructive posting inaccurate news, best guess need to visit that club after covid
I give in, posted govt. news is what it is. Your interpretation means Jack S h i t unless you have cited information, WHICH YOU HAVEN'T.

According to the Director of the General Hospital there are 24 cases in the hospital today. The hospital director is my neighbor so I would assume this to be accurate information. The hospital had a serious problem with a patient who refused to be tested and created quite a problem. The police had to be called in to assist hospital staff.

24 in hospital? Perhaps 200 plus cases out in the community. It's time to be very cautious.

Neighbour just arrived back from Holiday via Bangkok
The local Village heads have put him under quarantine 14 days regardless if he is showing signs of illness

Good news to fight this prior to outbreak

This might help to explain what they were doing in Bangkok.

OPEN CAREFULLY

It looks a very pleasant place to visit if we weren't in the middle of a pandemic.
However, there is a 200,000 baht minimum spending limit which could deter some of the farangs in Udon who are living off their Government pension. :D

Thanks Zid - I hadn't picked up on that detail.

So it's sort of like an exclusive golf club, but no doubt open to middle range public servants who are fortunate enough to drive a Merc?

Once this latest covid outburst is under control, any thoughts of the UM cohort getting together for a recce to Bangers to check out the wonderful Krystal?

This MOPH graphic through 9 April shows the total Udon Thani provincial count as 15, or 9th in the "championship".

The latest best guesstimates are this current wave will take maybe two months to control, but longer in Bangkok.

"A coronavirus outbreak in Thailand's capital may take more than two months to control, a health official said on Thursday, as authorities announced a broad ban on nightlife to tackle a new wave of infections and a highly contagious variant.

Authorities expect to arrest the outbreak in one or two months in the provinces, but it will likely take longer in Bangkok, the epicentre, said Kiatiphum Wongrajit, the ministry's permanent secretary. "

They tested all the market traders in Kham Kling yesturday , so i would imagine the increase in cases could well have come from this testing .
As the market is the hub for the village and surrounding areas , i can only see the numbers rising .

22 (and maybe already 25 depending on sources)
https://www.facebook.com/udonthaniupdat ... 764130563/

Thailand reported +967 new cases today.
so with all this Songkran mass exodus from BKK and all the nationwide travelling guess what?
the 3rd wave is rolling and UTH will also be flooded.
remember: the B117 covid variant is highly contagious!
sorry guys - bad news indeed…..

Already been covered. Up to two months to clean up the provinces, longer to clean up Bangkok.

Noticing more subtle upping of restrictions with some open-fronted shops on the ground floor at Big C Nittayo taping off some entrances so customers are funneled through the temp test and QR check point.

Masks and sanitizing gel are in plentiful supply at reasonable prices. For my bit, my shopping trips will revert to once or twice during Mon-Fri and avoid ANY trips on busy weekends. All these roadworks make those decisions easier!

A few months ago again when questioning vince mundays propaganda post about cases was ridiculed by the usual suspects when i said nobody in thai has any idea as no tests but they will soon find out with a massive ammount of cases . I was again shot down in flames . Now my village today a whole family of 5 just came from bkk test + and have been taken to hospital . 3 cases yesterday in the next village 3 cases in phen cases in nakha . 5 of my neighbours now dead in last 4 months all younger than me no test not even autopsy .last lady next to me die at 5 am burn at 11 am no doctor no cause of death .
Last week i saw the workers in the local office getting the jabs . all between 20 and 50 . I see a facebook photo of my wifes friends in nong khai getting the jab all young . photos from bangkok of young people getting the jab . these shameless people are playing corruption with peoples lives . no old people in my village get the jab just government works disgraceful

Didn't notice any changes to operating hours. Early days yet plus plenty of businesses in and around town have shuttered early for Songkran. Maybe after the holiday is over and the daily infection numbers are double.we may seem some changes.

Yes sadly the ACTUAL truth will never be told , saving face and all that rubbish , however a friend of mine who is holed up in the Hospital, serving out a mandatory quarantine , said yesterday by telephonic method that another 6 had been found and interred with him in the Monks wing of Udon General Hospital. He is fine as are most of the others, one had to be transferred to the Hospital Covid ward . He like myself and most of us are worrying about the upsurge due to idiotic Government Policies of allowing people to travel , but it is their country and illogical actions that is allowing the spread . Not thankfully foreigners.
