Thanks for the heads-up parrot. The missus uses that stretch of road fairly often. Good info.

Re: Wattananuwong Improvements
Just a heads up for anyone traveling the back way into Central. This morning, Wattananuwong Rd was closed at the 3 way intersection just past the Karin Hotel. All traffic heading toward central turned right at the 3 way. People in the know (about the construction) avoided Wattananuwong and headed toward Central from the clock circle.
The folks who detoured off at the 3 way were caught in a furball......that did not appear to be moving at all.
Things to think about if you're heading toward Central

Re: Wattananuwong Improvements
use that route frequently, thanks for the headsup... Funny though, I don't recall the road being in that bad a shape overall.. Traffic wise the biggest problem is not having turn signals on the road lights at each intersection causing people to force their way through unguarded turns..

Re: Wattananuwong Improvements
I was caught there around midday, after coming out of TOT and heading to Central - it was very very slow.
With a bit of intelligence and forethought, the "responsible" authorities could have easily closed off one side of the road to parking, and that would have improved things immensely. As it was, you had 10 tonne trucks trying to get along there to do deliveries, and vehicles moving opposite to them having to duck in behind parked vehicles wherever they could.
