Marriage extension

Can anyone tell me if all the Thai requirement paperwork is completed and a marriage certificate is issued but not registered with your embassy is sufficient enough to then apply for a marriage extension at immigration with already having a retirement extension ?

I’ve had a marriage extension for 13 years, never been asked for any marriage documentation from my home country or the embassy. Renewed yesterday, they only needed the marriage certificate, updated Tor Ror 2 and, in my case, my wife’s change of name certificate. I don’t believe you are abliged to register a marriage overseas with your home country, could be wrong…

Apart from a few requirements, mostly assets in UK willed to a Thai wife and some private pensions payable to widows after named persons death there are no UK requirements to officially register a marriage to the UK embassy.
Other nations cannot comment.

Bonanza ,If you are confused about the word extension , permission to stay in Thailand based on marriage I understand it is an extension . Not a vsaa.

The only registration requirement is with the Amphur/Ket and you will require current a KR2 or KR22.

There is no immigration requirement to register a marriage with your embassy
