I have a solution to this Brexit crap which will make the majority of UK citizens very happy. Since the referendum for Scotlands independance alot of things have changed. I believe if another was called the result would be in favour of independance.
Scotland is strongly in favour of remaining in Europe, as it stands out of 59 MP's at least 46 are against leaving, take those 46 out of the Uk equation and that would give Bojo his majority to leave the EU.
So I suggest Bojo rushes a bill through for a 2nd Scottish Ref ASAP ie before 30th Oct, if that's possible, fish face in Scotland is bound to support it.
Scotland gets its independance, England and Wales get to leave the EU with no deal, N Ireland can have talks with the new Scotland to form an alliance and still cling on to their independance from Eire and remain in the Eu. If N Ireland don't like it give them the option to have an independance vote.
Wrong assumptions mostly Billa
Only real changes in Scotland since 2014 are the SNP have watched the Scottish economy falling further and further behind our southern cousins. The SNP have virtually failed to manage Health, Education, Policing, Inward Investment etc with every one of these policies failing to meet their own targets. The current SNP administration is under fire from all sectors and highly unpopular with all but the tartan clad sheep, with Scotland now the highest taxed in the UK. 2014 SNP wanted to leave the EU as they would be independent. 2016 "leaving the EU will be a national disaster" but if we are independent we cannot join the EU till Scotland has joined the queue (about 10 years) and has its economy meeting max EU deficit of 3% cf GDP (SNP currently run a 7.9% deficit of GDP)Scotland's remain vote was basically 40% turnout of the electorate with just over 50% voting remain. The SNP have morphed that into the "overwhelming majority of Scotland voted remain" but they do not confirm that a vote for SNP Independence is a vote to leave the EU. There is no easy answer for Scotland's woes but Independence is not one of them and certainly not the socialist SNP.
Others think differently from your 10 year wait, apparently the door is wide open for an independent Scotland to join ASAP and Brexit negotiations have changed the EU's stance.

The media aren't as interested in reporting the news as they are manipulating it to meet their advocacy agenda. Why would any politician who espouses a platform the media doesn't approve of, subject themselves to their word games?

Hand them a press release (or a Twitter) and tell them to F.O. The media are not simply unbiased reporters. They unashamedly aspire to mold the political landscape. The paradigm has changed. Don't play their game.
Jeez , i agree with you ! The BBC funded by the British public , who have no choice but to fund them i might add , are one of the worst at distorting the news , especially when it comes to brexit .

Got to agree with giggle on this after reading this pap from the Guardian.

"The EU are a rules based organisation" so you believe they will change their rules to allow Scotland to jump the queue and not meet their fiscal rules so another skint Country can benefit from a greatly reduced EU budget? "All 27 Member Nation States have to approve" Spain is still spitting blood about Scotland's support of the Catalans recent illegal referendum for Independence. SNP rallies still have a sprinkling of Catalan flags being displayed. Scotland does not help the EU protect themselves from big bad Putin, we don't form part of the land barrier that the former Soviet Union states provide so what real benefit to the EU would Scotland be? Need any more examples of why it could be 10 years before an indy Scotland would be offered membership of the sinking ship which in all probability will not exist.

Just a wee update from a Scottish newspaper dated last night UK time.
A survey commissioned by pro-UK campaigners Scotland in Union found 59 per cent would vote to “ remain ” in the UK.
Just goes to show how a poll can be slanted towards whatever the pollsters want. The SNP poll a couple of weeks ago showed the same size of majority for Indy.

The fourth pillar has crumbled because it started taking sides.
The Judiciary in the US has become more politicized.

The pork barrel nature of the US Legislature is being increasingly mirrored by the EU.

The Executive in the UK has become more disconnected from the proles they represent.

Who really knows? Politicians, Journalists, Media Outlets all have their own agendas, my hypothetical scenario would never get off the ground for many reasons, one thing we do agree on is that the EU's days are numbered.

I read Cameron has dragged the Queen into the Brexit politics. Perhaps it's a good thing for some sunlight to be thrown on her behind the scenes role in politics. At least with Prince Charles it isn't nearly so subtle.

What on earth are you talking about . Cameron did not drag the Queen into Brexit at all .
And what behind the scenes role in politics is she allegedly guilty of ?

:-$ :-" Don't tell Mr 93 that Cameron has not been Prime Minister since 2016 and that he resigned immediately after the referendum. I would hazard a guess that what our intrepid poster is talking about is something to do with The Scottish Referendum held in 2014 but there again what do I know about FACTS. Maybe news travels slowly down under.

Oh dear!

Not sure where Boris is now, but if still in the US, will be needing to scurry back to Blighty asap. The Right Honourable John Bercow would now seem to be in control of the House of Commons.
The prorogation was also void and of no effect. Parliament has not been prorogued. This is the unanimous judgment of all 11 Justices.

.....the ruling was not illegal it was unlawful. There is a difference. ! "TBlack's Law Dictionary defines unlawful as "not authorized by law, illegal." Illegal is defined as "forbidden by law, unlawful." Semantically, there is a slight difference. It seems that something illegal is expressly proscribed by statute, and something unlawful is just not expressly authorized."
