I have a friend who runs a business with turnover in the 10s of millions His wife is high up in one of the NHS trusts. Before all this he regularly used to tell me stories about procurement in trusts which beggared belief from a business viewpoint.

Statts, you are not in the UK at the moment. Believe me, the example you gave above is not how most live their lives. I visit my 89 year old parents daily, take my Father his daily newspaper and chat to them. I take sensible precautions. Most people do the same. Only the feeble brained and people with political agendas seem to be cherry picking circumstances and whinging.

Johnson says that "if COVID is detected in the water supply of a certain town then steps can be taken ..."
First time I've heard that COVID getting into a towns water supply could be a problem, or is he just talking nonsense again?

No I am not in UK at the moment (nor hopefully will I have the need to be in the future), however, being confined to home during this period of time has given me ample time to watch and listen to many many hours of news broadcasts from all over the world, both left and right wing (although I do draw the line at Fox & Friends but even DJT is slowly coming to the same opinion of them lately). I have seen dozens of people in UK who have been following their govts guidelines to the letter, and far too many that seem to think the regulations are for others and not them (including several top footballers & MP's). I hope that we can all come through this stronger, and hope that we can all learn to be more considerate to our fellow human beings, we are all passengers on spaceship Earth whether in UK, US, Thailand, China, France, Iran Iraq Yemen Israel or any other country. Mother nature has given humanity one almighty wake up call, lets hope it wont be in vain.

Amazing how ~21 days of Covid-19 infection and recovery turns the previously eloquent master of flippant put downs and whimsical derision into the bumbling, stumbling bag of stale piss that he really is.
