The former Health Minister Sajid Javid is currently doing an evisceration of Boris in his personal statement at the end of PMQ's.

The Speaker, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, said there will be NO more personal statements today and everyone started leaving. It was almost like a class dismissal. "You can go now". The live stream ended with Javid (out of camera shot) thanking the Speaker for allowing him to make his personal statement.

Sir Lindsay Hoyle is a very powerful man and I reckon he's probably had his fill of Johnson's circus.

Just watching the members circling BoJo as they stick the knife in (Tory and Labour). I'm not a fan of the PM but what a horrible, self-serving bunch they are.

Vile.

Put it this way ....... if the idiot worked for me he would have been visiting HR for his P45 2 years ago. It beggers belief that those spineless wimps on the Tory benches have waited this long to say enough already. What was it they called the rush for the front bench today ........ The charge of the lightweight brigade

Its a pity 27 MP's have resigned today, if they had thought about it they could have all "crossed the floor" one after the other at PMQ's this afternoon ......... now that would have been fun

Will the Queen instigate a Gough Whitlam event tomorrow and tell BoJo to eff orf?

Cool your jets. He's resigned. Constitutional crisis averted. Unlike the colonials, we British do subtle political intrigue.

Johnson and his enablers were a disaster for the UK. Also a reputational disaster.

I didn't realize there were so many prominent sheilas in the UK.

Hunt is probably too competent to get the job. I think they'll go for a halfwit. The halfwit will still be much better than the serial liar.

I think Truss has royally shot herself in the foot by bailing out of the G20 in Bali which Russia is attending before it even got going. This so she can fly back to London and get her cohorts stumping for her in the leadership contest. Such shameless self-aggrandizement will be duly noted for Labour to rub her nose in when the 'leadership' that Boris claimed the Uk had in supporting Ukraine gets further watered down by the 'new' administration.

It really says something about the Tory party when the media suggest 8 or 9 possible candidates and the only one of those to have any credibility is Isaac (Jeremy Hunt)

Still its nice to know that Bojo wont go empty handed as hes entitled to a 25% bonus or almost 20k (for being useless and resigning) as have all the other ministers that belatedly resigned yesterday .......... (whats another half million of taxpayers money between friends .......nothing new there)
