Yes, the Australians have torn up the contract they gave to the French to supply them with diesel submarines.

Nice one Boris.

The look that says you aren't gonna get on in this party if you keep asking awkward questions of your own PM during PMQ's

funny that just after 1 month of us realising running around the globe invading and causing chaos, finding out the US couldn't even be bothered to send a sticky note saying ' we're out of here' . we're at it again. and the stupid aussie government is going to spend a fortune buying the tech and britain are going to make a fortune. you would think that if you were going to spend 90 billion dollars the aussies might think about building them themselves. Also the completion date is 15 years away. By then it will be game over anyway. just getting suckered into an arms race for the financial benefit of the american government. like we forgot just what happened last month

Agree Dean .. at what point will the USA cease wanting to police the world ...?? all this is in the guise of global stability and peace (and ganging up on China) when really its all about doe ... Uk just had tax increases and the money for this load of bollocks has to be found somewhere.

I didnt realize it was 15 years away , at which point the instigators Biden Johnson n Morrison will all be either dead or sat in a bath chair dribbling.

i ve got a few Aussie n American mates smashing chaps but wouldnt wanna get in bed with any of them  .. im sure this will be discussed at the UFES bash today.

Personally I think it is a good idea, however most you will remember oir maybe not the Three pacts that the UK belonged to, NATO, still exists although its reasons for being still here may have waned a little. CENTO , which expired in 1979, I believe but covered central world ( mainly Middle eastern countries )and SEATO which was the South East Asian YTreaty which seemed to end due to Anti Nuclear sentiments expressed by Australasian counties, so all this is in my book a rekindling of that treaty, which initially protected those countries and was also obviously an attempt by the UK to gain protection for its far eastern Colonies . I fail to understand the problem , but many forget history . Something we all ignore at our peril, to maintain peace one must plan for the opposite and hope to hell it never happens.

China’s state-run Global Times described the United States as “losing its mind trying to rally its allies against China” and accused Australia of becoming a “running dog” of Washington.

Australia used to be a deputy sheriff. Running dog?

Running dogs and poodles maybe but anything that keeps the abominable chokies bottled up in their sh*thole country gets my vote.

The Prime Minister of New South Wales shouldn't turn to the Serial Liar or Sleepy Joe for advice on how to deal with this insult. I think he should aim higher and phone Kim Yo-jong and beg her to give him some colourful responses. She's even better at sledging than Australian cricketers.

I can't really see why the UK bothered getting involved in this deal. I suppose they're hoping the Aussies will buy something from them and it was too good an opportunity to annoy the French and Europe.

You'll notice that British North America has not been invited as the participants feel that Canada has been far too compromised by Chinese triads, Chinese military intelligence officers and, Government of China bribery of Canadian politicians in high offices both provincially and federally to be a trustworthy and reliable ally.

nope , its more like Canada is irrelevant. quite a simple plan really, america gets more nuke subs in the pacific, the uk makes bags of money, and Australian tax payers get the bill.
