It would appear following a survey in the BKK Post that citizens want the end of the Curfew and emergency decree, but seek to have bars remaining closed. Not good for the bars it would seem

The after-midnight curfew-breaking wall-climber report duly noted. I mean two exclamation marks? Really DM? You'll be using colored text next.

we have a Thai family member (56) who drives a tuk-tuk.. He is illiterate and doesn't have a watch. He departs his house at 2-3AM daily heading downtown to the Temple he works for and out of.. He's never been stopped by the cops and he's been doing this throughout the entire curfew period (for years actually). Curfew violations are purely dependent upon the level of enforcement. From the news it appears that some provinces are enforcing the rules far more than others..

Saturday afternoon drove to NK and back. Only 2 manned checkpoints (1 each way), slowed down and waved us through.

Does this mean I might get my tortoises on the number 37?
The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

A 35 year old Vietnamese man who entered Vietnam illegally from Cambodia along a trail path has tested positive for Covid 19.
Cambodia had reported no new cases for a while.
How many people have actually been tested?
Be careful opening up the borders....

Agree Zid .. the country needs to get moving again internally so lets get provincial and domestic travel restrictions eased , as for international borders they should remain closed with no flights or entrees in any form other than diplomats and Thais being repatriated.. new C19 cases are low and most seem to be coming in from overseas and caught in quarantine .

The notion that Chinese , Koreans and others now removed from the risk list COULD be allowed back as visitors as early as June is crazy.

But if all international visitors go into quarantine, that would be ok, wouldn't it?

Yes ..but it was commented by the health minister the 14 quarantine possibly would not be applicable for those nationals of countries taken off the risk list ,,and with only a C19 check on arrival being carried out.

The most effective way of limiting international travel would be a requirement that all foreigners be subject to the 14 day quarantine period in a state run facility at their own expense for both the accommodation and meals consumed. A process like this would certainly flush out those who may be asymptomatic and still want to travel on the proviso that the country of arrival meets their isolation costs.

A big danger will be when they open the land borders with Myanmar,Cambodia and Laos.
I doubt if there's much testing gone on in those countries.

This is not practical for business trips, 14 days quarantine for both legs of the journey, so a one week trip consumes 5 weeks. I think testing before trips and get a Dr's clearance letter will work.
I had a bumper sticker in Texas that read 'Beam me up Scotty'. I often wish I could find one in Udon Thani
