https://theconversation.com/coronavirus ... lem-152204Coronavirus: few vaccines prevent infection – here’s why that’s not a problem
Vaccines are a marvel of medicine. Few interventions can claim to have saved as many lives. But it may surprise you to know that not all vaccines provide the same level of protection. Some vaccines stop you getting symptomatic disease, but others stop you getting infected too.......
Re: Miscellaneous COVID-19/Corona Virus Discussion, Questions, etc.
The first vaccine was developed to protect against smallpox, a deadly disease that killed thousands of people until the 1800s. Thanks to vaccination, smallpox was completely eradicated in 1979.fatbob wrote: ↑February 14, 2021, 11:15 amSo that's what they mean by "The New Normal", where a vaccine isn't a vaccine.....papafarang wrote: ↑February 14, 2021, 11:12 am
I don't see it as a vaccine ,they come as a single jab that protects you for a long period . this so called " vaccine" only seems to protect you from the worst effects of the virus. Then you have to have two jabs which appears to be more of a treatment
Do you want us to PM you from beyond the grave if/when they manage to eradicate Covid?

NO IT DOESN'T.
But it is entirely up to you if you don't want to participate and take your chances. Just make sure that you don't take anyone else's chances with you.

The key point about my mentioning smallpox vaccine was the TIME ELAPSED between developing the vaccine and its eradication; roughly 180 years. The smallpox vaccine developed solely for smallpox did not INSTANTLY prevent everyone from getting it. Human physiology and epidemiology is different from person to person and what works 100% on one person has never been a guarantee that it will work 100% on the next person. Covid-19 kicked off around fourteen months ago and at the last count, there are now half-a-dozen vaccines. Choices choices.
Waiting for the natural eradication of Covid by vaccination of everyone else is entirely up to you.

The numbers just don’t add up. As you say numbers should be higher.
Perhaps the breakdown should be deaths by which cause.
No one in authority seems to want to asses or accept numbers since Covid. Who died with or from Covid.
It will be revealed one day and the word theory will be taken out of conspiracy theory.
Until then the fear mongering will continue.

^ It can also depend greatly on what "please click like and subscribe" YouTuber you are harvesting your numbers from.

Yes, you are correct on 3 points - it's very easy to find; I am very capable; and google is my friend.
Unfortunately, you are incorrect on the main point (according to this government site):
That's why a link to your source would have been handy.Weekly 2020 death figures summed: 604,045 (up to week ending 25 December).

The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

Tamada you really are a piece of works. You obviously chose not to see the source so you could make another useless attempt at your bent humour.
