and I have exactly the same OA based retirement extension. I submitted a combined picture of my passport facepage and the page with my current extension to stay when I registered at ExpatVac. I still haven't got a rejection e-mail... Nor have I seen any official explanation from the Thai MFA as to why people are getting these rejections. I've only seen some transplanted social media posting saying the Thai MFA is aware of the issue and is working on it...

I have now successfully registered on 5 different platforms to receive a vaccination which include

2 local MOPH locations
expatvac site (twice)
BKK Khon Kaen Hospital Phizer reg site
BKKUDH Moderna deposited June 2021

I have to date received zero contact other than confirmation i registered successfully.

US/UK donated Phizer and AZ vaccines with approx 150k ph AND ?? AZ earmarked for expats have been here for over 2 weeks and with that figured seemingly enough to easily cover the total of expat registrations im at a loss why it appears i and no one i know who registered ( <60 , 60> or with health issues ) has not received an appointment.

In the back of my mind im sort of resigned to waiting for the Moderna promised October 21 , then Nov 21 .. now 1st quarter 22 but will in reality take a PH or AZ if get the chance first.

A future planned trip to the UK leads me to stick it out for the Phizer or Moderna as Sinovac, Sinopharm and even AZ (that has not been administered within the UK) can lead to issues on entering some countries including the UK .

All very confusing and frustrating

I received the infamous rejection letter. My 1st thought was just like getting rejected by the pretty girls in HS, but I regress. I also submitted my Passport facepage with my current extension based on marriage.

OK, I have just managed to register again with my alternate gmail address.

I accidentally left the last digit off my passport number, but all other details were the same as my initial registration (non-gmail). I also followed Doodoo's advice, and combined both documents on the same page.

If you been rejected to re-register because your original email address was also gmail, have a look here https://gmail.googleblog.com/2008/03/2- ... -your.html

PM me if you need more.
This one also rejected, with a slightly differently worded email:

This is an auto-generated email. Please do not reply.

After review your registration, you did not upload all required documents. You must attach both passport and visa or permanent resident card. Please note that permanent resident card is not Thai national id card and this registration platform is for foreign residents in Thailand or who do not have Thai citizen.

If you are at least 12 weeks pregnant or have one of the 7 chronic diseases, you must attach your medical certificate.

Please note that registration without providing completed documents may delay your vaccine allocation.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand
This is an automated message, please do not reply.
The big difference from the previous rejection is that this latest email included a link to the application, which allowed me to open it (all details still there), and attach the two required documents.

I did this by clicking "Browse" in the application, highlighting both scanned files (passport + visa) together in Windows Explorer, and then clicking open. Both files then attached in the application window. I have sent this off, and received an email saying it was successful.

No response yet to the application I sent to Bangkok Hospital, Khon Kaen.

I see on the Asean Now (ex Thai Visa) forum that appointments have been made, and people have been jabbed, after registering on the Expatvac site.

Mainly around Bangkok and Pattaya, with Chiang Mai also starting up.

One of the issues around the "Rejection" emails seems to be whether, when they are asking you to attach your "visa", you should be attaching your original visa, or your current extension.

If they need your original visa instead of current extension, they should have a way to resubmit with the correct info. Since you cannot have an extension without a visa you would think they could figure things out.

the original allocations for the 1.5 million Pfizer doses were 1st Priority over 700,000 as 3rd shot booster jabs to Health Care workers. I see from the MOPH Facebook page that as of the 18th they've given 519,604 "3rd doses" which I'd say must be the Pfizer.. Us over 60 expats are further down the priority scale so perhaps once they've done that first 700,000 they'll start getting to us... all told 1st/2nd/3rd jabs they did nearly 550,000 yesterday...

My original Non-O, long expired is in a similarly long-expired passport that's in the nightstand back home. If they don't accept scans of CURRENT AND VALID Extensions then they can all go and get f*cked.

Oh wait... they already are.

I received an email yesterday from Wattana Hospital asking if I had been vaccinated yet. The reason for the email was that the Udon Public health office had asked for a list of their patients (expats/other foreigners) who had not been vaccinated as yet. They went on to say that the Udon Gen Hosp had extra doses of Pfizer which they wanted to use before the vaccine expired. If you have not received an initial dose of Covid vaccine please contact the Udon Public Health Office to register ASAP as there is only a limited amount of vaccine available. The Public Health Office is located opposite The Bluekoff Coffee Shop.

Udon Prvincial Health Office signing up for Pfizer shots

Post by FrazeeDK » August 20, 2021, 11:09 am

Giddayup down to the Udon Provincial Health Office TODAY!!. Bring your passport. They will make a copy and even fill out the application for a Pfizer shot which may be as soon as next Monday or Thursday. . Office located on the north side of the Udon Thani Provincial Health compound in the two story building at the intersection of Makkhaeng and Athipbodi Roads. The security guards will point you to the office. Very helpful staff. They'll make a color copy of your passport..

The key here may be what you are calling a "combined picture" which I assume to be a single graphic file that has both the passport AND extension in that single picture.

Since many people reported issues with posting 2 files by drag-and-drop (my experience was that the second drag-drop replaced the first one). Or that maybe the system had issues with two files (my experience was to browse to the directory and select BOTH graphic files which then appeared side-by-side on the submission page).

I will try again with the "combined" picture file. If the first application has really been rejected, then the 'email already used' error, 'name already used' error and 'passport already used' error shouldn't appear.

...you would think.

drop both pictures into a word doc then use the Windows "snip" tool to save both of them together as a JPG, then upload that combined photo.

A friend of mine called the expatvac contact number and was told that a new email will get sent out between today and Monday regarding what the next step is for each person (re upload passport or visa docs or fix typo or double booking or whatever).

Accordingly, I won't bother burning another email address or being smart and dropping a letter off my name or a number off my passport, a method which has been used to make 'duplicate' applications by those in a panic.

POSSIBLE PROBLEM WITH VACCINE REGISTRATION via BANGKOK HOSP. KHON KAEN

I probably should not be spreading gossip, but this might save some of you a nasty surprise. A friend just called to report that he got an email from BKK HOSP advising that they would contact him to re-schedule his appointment for the jab. I am in the same situation as he, but I have not gotten this email yet.
It's a little complicated. I registered successfully for the A-Z jab, and later, rec'd a email advising appointment for tomorrow, Sat 21 Aug at Central Plaza. The email asked us to reply with confirmation. However that email also said:

" *** In Case of changing Vaccine Please Reply us with in 24 hours due to date and time of service. ***

So me and my friend emailed our confirmation saying that we would prefer Pfizer if possible, but that if not, A-Z would be OK.

I have not heard since them, but it seems like they cancelled his appointment and will contact again by email to re-appoint.
--
Other scuttlebutt we are hearing that some falang have been rejected at the vaccination site because they sent a copy of the wrong visa. I am not entirely clear, but apparently, like me, some interpreted "visa" literally and sent a copy of that rather than a copy of the latest "extension" and that seems to be a problem.

Sorry to throw some confusion into the process, but I think it is probably easier to take if you have a "heads up" and can prepare yourself.'
