Clickbait's
The moore agressiv the headlines are the moore clicks,Dr Joseph Mercola made one million dollar last year from Google, his modus operandi reminds a lot of the approach from one of the members on this forum! You start with some heavy headlines followed by a link, some smalltalk inbetween and a new headline with a link! A lot of forums all over the world are experience this! There are people running hundreds of fake accounts om different forums cashing Inn in clicks! That means that some people don't even care, we are just feeding them with our response and search for the truth by reading the links that are provided! I can't say that this forum member is up to this, but if I use his negligent handling of the truth as an example it's possible

Re: Clickbait's
Assuming we are talking about the same member, I doubt his avalanche of posts, and links within those posts, would lead to many clicks from the wider UM community.
It's a rabbit hole sensible people are happy to avoid.

Given the amount of misinformation and clear fake news, it has me wondering if there is a Russian bot on the forum.stattointhailand wrote: ↑August 18, 2021, 4:35 pmThere woz me thinking clickbait was attaching a cricket to your fishing 'ook

^ I know you’re trying to be a bit humorous but a quick look at today’s & every other days alleged member birthdays gives a good indication of the number of bot accounts on the forum

And thankfully, the bots highlighted by Niggly haven't resorted to flooding the forum with fake news.stattointhailand wrote: ↑August 19, 2021, 8:49 pmSeems there are no Russian Bot type language birthdays
Re: Clickbait's
No, they’re just designed to work in the background using complex algorithms to glean personal information from the way members post.
For anyone over 50 posts they’ll have already worked out ATM PIN numbers, mothers maiden name, name of first pet & name of town where you were born.
It’s time to stock up on foil
