Had a friend stay there so i had a day or two sniffing around, incredible place too, no expense spared, great views from the Top Floors bit pang pang for a beer though, think there was bar was on the 30th floor i went to...not sure what it would be notorious for though....dress smart if you want to fit in...No Flip Flops or Holed Vests.
Think he stayed for 7 nights, and didn't ask the cost as he wasn't paying.

Ehhhhhhhhh....Image Nahh can't be Polehawk..., who would ask a question like that and expect a member on here to pipe up and admit to serious crimes that subsequently lead to being incarcerated into 'The' Bang Kwang .....Image

It has to be about the Hilton Hotel In Bangers.......seeing as mrnicey1966 is planning a big tour of Asia i naturally thought he was scouting for a good room in bangers....tell me i am right Nicey..?

And some room rates are not as you would expect..., a fair price for the quality on offer.

It must be nice to stay somewhere plush like the Hilton, have you ever stayed there, BM? The poshest gaff I ever stayed in was the Nana Hotel back in 1990.

Yeah stayed in lots of plush joints in Bangers, got them for good prices in deals when i brought my Tickets.....most expenchip was 7000baht per night Landmark (Club Executive Floors)that i payed for myself...top notch Free grub and Booze inc....it was all i could get for several days stay as it was just after the Tsunami and all the hotels where rammed.
Yeah The Nana was cool.....But That Hilton Is The Nuts Though.

I'm just trying to work out how a hotel can get notorious. Do you mean that the room service not up to scratch or that they accept Swingers for naughty weekends? Is the hotel manager a bit manic, does he goose step across the restaurant?

Yeah a Hotel could have a cockroach problem...
Thefts From Rooms...
A Poor Hygiene Record..
A Broken Tile In the pool..
A Virus In The AC...

That Would Give It A Bad Name....highly unlickly the Fantastic Hilton Would succumb to any of these problems.

Don't look like MrN will tell us what he did mean..well he has not so far.

Prison or Hotel...i am still going with Hotel though cos i can't see anyone asking that qeustion and expecting to get answer...

Naw, I'm sure he wanted to find someone who had done time in the Bangkok lockup. C'mon, time to 'fess up, you ex-cons out there. [-X

Also wants to hear if anyone has visited their mate or teerak while they were in the slammer. :-s

A bigger question would be to ask mrniceguy why he wants this information? Lots of firsthand knowledge books out there on the subject. Think I saw 1 or 2 books written by ex-convicts at the new bookstore across from Ruysuk Hotel. Hard to imagine what it would be like for a farang to be locked up there or in any Thai prison but it must be like living in hell.

I believe he mentioned (on another thread) that he is planning an extended trip around SE Asia & then planning a book on it....I guess a chapter on a few who had spent some time there might spice it up a little.... :D
