The Western Pub

Post by Naam Jai » April 18, 2008, 8:31 pm

Live music and mosquitoes. Anyone not know, its on the way to Kut Chap Road opposite the Napali Hotel on E11. The music ? American Country and Western mainly. The beer cold but slightly over priced.

Actually, when we're on a night out in town we usually drop in there on the way home. Yes as stated above it's country and western music, not really my taste, but the bands are pretty good, the odd Tenglish word dropped in the lyrics makes it all the more bearable for me.....The guy by the door with the tamborine keeping the beat always gives me a laugh
Beers cold, not too expensive given the bar's opposite a hotel. A touch difficult to see the dart board as the lightings kept to a minimum, toilets are usually clean, staff atttentive.......all together it's a nice place to stop at, as I say on our way home.

Brings back memories of the famous Mt T's or T-Bones on Phosi Road that was owned by the same people who then ran the Western Pub. Mr T's had the same mosquito policy, made possibly the worst club sandwich known to man BUT was open 24/7 and only 100m from the tawan apartments, then my abode. The band members and staff from the western pub and other late night workers used to gather at Mr T's so there was always someone up for a drink and a chat.

Live music every night with the band , even with the broken english if this pub was at the other end of town it would be the number 1 bar, good atmosphere. pooltable darts, no loud music of all the modern type , just old classics songs

A place to have the wedding party
