Gents arrived in Thailand 07th Feb 2013 on a MULTIPLE entry O visa (married with a thai wife) issued in Cardiff. On entry to Bangkok received 90 days. Went to the border Nong Khai on Friday 03rd May crossed over the border and came back into Thailand it wasn't until today I checked my passport i have only been given 60 days is this correct as I thought it was 90days.
If it is wrong is there anything I can do about it as I dont really want to travel back to Nong Khai to sort it.
Any information will be greatly received

You should have received 90 days not 60.
It is something everyone needs to check for themselves at the border after your passport is handed back.
(I know from personal experience :D  )
To alter then & there is easy. To alter after the event you will need to go to a Thai immigration office & fill out a TM form (sorry I don't know the number) that says that you received the wrong number of days on entry.
The Immigration Office will then place a stamp in your passport that changes your stay date to 90 days from your date of entry.

It might just be simpler, however, to return to Laos in 60 days, rather than 90 & ensure that you get 90 days when you re-enter next time.

It really depends on how long you intend to stay in Thailand until you return to the UK. If you wanted to stay the maximum 15 months then maybe better to get it corrected as you now, in effect, can only stay 14 months without an extra trip into Laos somewhere along during the 12 month stay to get the dates 'back on track'.

Savannakhet (opp Mukdahan) Thai consulate is offering ONE year multiple non O visas for 5000 baht. Normally only available in your home country. Usual paperwork req'd ie marriage certificate, wife's id and house book, etc. A friend just got his last week, cost an extra 2000 baht as he used the Savan Vegas casino/hotel visa service. I'll still stick to my 90 day Vientienne embassy runs as i like my nights out in that town.

I think it's 90 days.

I had the same issue a couple of years ago. I got 60 days and at the end of those 60 days I had to go to immigration to get 30 days extention. Together it makes 90 days.

Not the only one,747......Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia also offer the same service but you need to show proof of income of 100k Thai baht,as well,there......the Non O Multi Entry from both Savannakhet and Kuala Lumpur is only available to a married person, just to clarify.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

If anyone needs to renew a Non Imm O Visa and fancies a trip to Jakarta instead of Savannakhet. I have just renewed mine over there all the usual documents proof of money required in the bank was $ 1000.00 dollars 32,000 baht but I showed them a statement with 200,000baht. Documents went in on Monday passport returned today. Happy Days

Do you mean applying from the UK??

If so I looked yesterday & no change, still a complete state of confusion.
Hull are still referring to rules that are on 2 documents that are not actually available to view...
Birmingham seem to have removed the information about supplying a non O for anything apart from by reason of being married.
The Embassy in London is still saying a monthly income of £1,400 or proof of any pension.

I have not heard of anyone who has tried to get one from the UK of late though.
I am going back in June so a bit nearer that time will contact the Embassy directly if nothing has changed.
At least the £1,400 should be adjusted in light of current exchange rates if nothing else.

After my experiences with Hull in October last year I will not even both with them again. They appear to have had their wings completely clipped by the Embassy so that anything apart from a tourist visa is beyond them now..

It actually appears MORE difficult to get a non O based on marriage than a non O based on retirement in the UK at the moment.

The actual requirement from the Embassy (who now have to physically issue all non O's in the UK) for retirement is
1. Over 50
2. In receipt of a pension. (of any amount)
OR
A monthly income of over £1,400.

For marriage (as well as the proof of marriage stuff) you must have an income of over £1,400 a month.

So it appears to have actually got easier from the 50 to 64 age group - as long as you are getting a pension.
Once 65+ the huge majority will automatically qualify via the State old age pension..

The major drawback from the Embassy still remains that it is a 2 day process & that you must physically attend.

Yes that's how i used to get my 'O' visa, just sent them my pension receipt, but last year had to show 20,000 gbp in the bank. The proof of pension was not mentioned on their website.
Didn't know about the fact that you must physically attend, that's going to be a pain.

From their site - 2 minutes ago... :D

However the site does also contain the dreaded words...
Consular officers reserve the rights to request for additional documents as deemed necessary.
