I would be extremely interested to see the thread where that information was given.

As if I am not correct I want to find out the correct information.

At the moment I can see nothing that supports an automatic extension of any specific number of days.

Only that permissions to stay are extended to April 30 (if they would have expired after 26 March)

Why would you be hiding the name of someone (Ubonjoe) who has given advice on a public forum? Along with STWW, I am looking forward to seeing his views on this issue.

As for Thai Visa - not unless I absolutely have to ie maybe 6 times a year. While UM has a couple of Thai people & Thailand haters, the execrable TV is polluted with them from top to bottom. [-(

FMD Alan - is Richard Barrow the "expert", or Ubonjoe?

Barrow's tweet also talks about 30 April, but you are talking about an extra 60 days after that.

Good luck - you'll be sweet.

Please report back at the end of June.

Good - we have confirmed that Ubonjoe is the "expert".

All we need now is the link to his advice that you referred to earlier - because the possibility of an automatic 60 day extension is very important to many on UM.

You are the person who stated that there is an automatic 60 day extension.

I believe that you are misinformed or misinterpreted what was written.

Since I don’t believe that statement of an automatic length of time extension is true it will be impossible to find something that is not there. The extension it to a date, not for a number of days.

As you are certain that it is there you should be able to find it.

I look forward to to finding out that I am wrong, though doubt it.

Actually I know someone who did get a 60day extention on his multiply entry non o. But that was before they announced that everyone gets amesty untill the 30th of this month. . It was just as they closed the border so he went in to find out and they gave it to him .I'm not sure but you might get one if you ask, but it's not free .you have to pay for it.

That is a very different case any one can pay for the first 60 day extension for Thai family (child wife or parents) on an entry to Thailand.

It is quite possible that you may be able to pay for a second 60 day extension, this is something that is never normally given, but due to the borders being closed immigration is allowing unusual things, so it does no harm to ask.

The thing that is almost certainly a fable however is a free automatic 60 day extension.

Definitely not free ,but available .same boat for me. I would be a bit pissed about it as having to pay for 60 days when I already have a visa that I paid for.

As the report is basically to show you live at the same address and are still here , which you did on 28 march with your extension , i would say forget the 90 day report , but you will have to go on the 28 April to get your final stamp .
When you go just show them what you are there for , and if like me , they will take your passport inside for you and get it stamped . easy , peasy .

Sorry I missed your post.

Yes you go for your extension. No you do not need to go for the 90 day report, in fact you will probably not be allowed into immigration by the young lady outside.

If you are able you can still do an online report.

You almost certainly can not report online this time

Found It STWW..................

On 4/12/2020 at 11:08 AM, ubonjoe said:
That is not correct.

There is nothing that states those that qualify for the 60 day extension has to apply for one.

They don't want people going to immigration for an extension unless they do not qualify under the ministerial order.

The only ones that have to apply for an extension are those that are not affected by the inability to leave the country. That being those on long term extensions and etc. If they do not qualify for their normal extensions they will have to apply for the special 30 day extension.

That is not correct.

There is nothing that states those that qualify for the 60 day extension has to apply for one.

I'm Still Very Confused Joe....My 90 Day Permission to stay expires on 30 April,I Was going to go to Nong Khai Immigration BEFORE That date to apply for my 60 Day Extension....So as I'm Confused & Old Can you just give a ONE Word answer, Do I have to apply or Not....Yes OR No.....Thanks Mate....

No

It is your choice though. I personally would wait until the emergency is over and then apply for the 60 day extension.
