It depends what you want from it & what you want to do with it...
If you want a good product then there is not a huge amount of price variance between the UK & Thailand.
Difference is that if you buy in Thailand then it is not automatically hooked into an ISP.
If you actually want an ISP that is... :D

Samsung & Apple can ask for 20K baht because what they are offering is actually worth 20K baht....as long as you are actually going to use the equipment to its maximum ability..If you pay 1,500 baht then that is probably what value you are getting.

It is a bit like buying a Skoda or a Audi...
On the face of it a Skoda just makes so much sense....until you can afford to buy a Audi that is... :D

Hmm....depense on what audi you have..but to the point:

i have check out many of the this tablets and there is only one cheap model i accely can recomand and the China man at the market in Nongkai sells them for 3200 bath including an extern keybord, this one is a copy and can be used whit wifi and 3G and also as a cellphone...its a copy of caurse....10 screen as well.
These days life seems pretty good and I eagerly look forward to the continuation!

The issue with tablets is not what you buy, but what happens if the software needs to be upgraded.

So, if you buy Apple today from a recognised dealer then you certainly will be able to upgrade as the software is upgraded.
If you buy a recognised Android product today, from a recognised dealer the same is true.
If you buy a copy, forget it...possibly even the software that should work today, will not..

It depends how important these sort of things are to you &, as I said before, how you intend to use the product..

In addition to Bob's post, tablet with or without sim card incl or excl phone option. Nowadays there are cheap android tablets indeed for 3000baht or less but only for use with wifi to connect to internet, so no simcard.

This I now post with a smartphone and there is now no wifi connection.

Just chatted with whatsapp with someone in kucap with a tablet with simcard, also no wifi available
