Australian Man Tries to Burn Down House !

Post by samuel » March 6, 2017, 7:02 pm

Quote:
After girlfriend steals ATM card, withdraws 470,000 Baht equivalent to 13,300 dollars U.S and gives it to her Thai boyfriend.
When the police, firefighters and rescue volunteers arrived at the scene they found 65-year-old Edward Woodward in a distressed state wielding a kitchen knife behind his garden gates.

Very sad , but very common. Choose your women carefully. Unfortunately many men still walk in to relationships with Thai women of unkown backgrounds blindly. I hope he has friends.

So she gets away with stealing his card and money??
Surely there is recourse for him and maybe any of us who find ourselves in that predicament.

Yes,you would think the ATM Card has a daily limit ?
Maybe she went to the Bank counter staff to withdraw the majority of the dosh.On the withdrawal form there is a slot where someone can take out the money on your behalf.....she could have forged his signature or maybe he signed unknowingly after she asked him for an extra 5,000 baht in cash then filled out a lot more ? :-k
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

Maybe just a simple joint account , or she had an ATM card also, approved by him, She had the PIN number, or she also had her signature on the bank book, if withdrawn in 1 time,

To qualify for retirement extensions, you have to have 800,000 baht or more in a savings account that is in YOUR name. Many men including myself give their wives the PIN. Once in a while, not often, I have my wife make a transaction. She returns home with the money and a receipt. I have a 20,000 baht per day limit on my account. I am quite careful with my ATM card and view it as impossible for my wife to steal more than 20,000 baht from that account. I can see no circumstances that my wife would ever keep my card, even overnight.

A fool and his money are soon parted.
