Dim Sum, Roasted Duck & Moo Dang

Post by papaguido » January 19, 2012, 6:29 pm

Ceang restaurant, not sure of the English translation, but this restaurant serves up dim sum, roasted duck & red pork (moo dang). Duck & pork are available served over rice or with noodles (wet or dry, with broth or without). A variety of dim sum made with pork, shrimp and crab. Good food at a very good price.

The restaurant is located on Prajak road between the clock tower and the five way traffic light, same block as Bon Cafe and next door to the Bank of Ayudhya (yellow bank). Not sure of the opening times as I've only been there for lunch.

Menu posted for your viewing pleasure.

Yes that's right, very friendly and at least one server speaks some English. Not that it's really need it, the menu provides photos of the food items and a brief description in English. Good to know that it's open into the evening, thanks.

Dim Sum, Roasted Duck & Moo Dang

Got to say thank you Rito for a brilliant recommendation. Tried it this week. Firstly the place is spotlessly clean, secondly the menu was bewildering in what was on offer . Settled for the roast duck. A big plate served on a bed of vegetables of pure duck meat sliced , no bones, neck or other distractions that the Thai seem to love , for only 120bht. It was enough for both my wife and I to eat with a plate of rice that really filled us up. For those that cannot eat such a big lunch they also serve a smaller portion on rice for 35bht . Marvellous value . The menu also illustrated at least 20 dishes of dim sum, seemingly all priced at 20bht, which we didn't get the chance to sample but certainly will on our next visit. Will most certainly be going back.
Ageing is a privilige denied to many .

Trubrit, one plate of roasted duck for 2?
Jeez, we were 3and ordered 2 roasted ducks, 2 soups and 6 different dim sums.
total bill around 520 including 3 soda waters.
Excellent, will be back, but for real good Peking duck when in Bangkok get on Sukhumvit corner soi 15, a chinese place, or even better in Paris, a 5 minute walk from the Notre Dame at 17 rue St Jacques.
