Dose Espresso - Nice Bistro Across from Maeya (Sponsor)
Re: Dose Espresso - Nice Bistro Across from Maeya (Sponsor)
Parrot's photo of a seafood salad is almost certainly from DOSE FACTORY and not the smaller original Dose Espresso. Both are excellent, though Dose Factory is much larger and a more expanded menu offering. Perhaps Dose Factory deserves it's own thread....

Dose Factory
Was there the other night. IMO the best international and rhai fusion food in Udon.
Wine cover charhe is only 150 baht per bottle also.

Sorry about that......ever since the bigger (Factory) opened, I've pretty much stopped going to Espresso. I wasn't even aware they operated under different names. And, yes, it does appear Factory has expanded their menu somewhat. OOMFPTG (sort of like BBF).

Us foodies dont care about accronyms. Just menus lol
The rhubarb soda with a.sprig of mint is lovely and available at both of their venues.
Dose Factory also has a lovely huge coffee roaster which can been seen on the walkway to the rest rooms.
Starting prices are 780 ? Kg

Agree with all here. Dose Factory is my personal restaurant of choice in Udon if I fancy giving the wife a treat. The chocolates to take way are great too, particularly the chocolate coated cranberries - one of your 5 a day!!

From page 1rct wrote:DOSE Espresso is opposite Maeya in the back corner of the new shophouses, with an ample parking lot in front (parking sometimes charged at 20 baht). Funghi's owner/chef is cooperating here now.
This is not a member review as I do not have all the info to provide, though we do enjoy their various foods and usually go for lunch or dinner for salads, pasta, desserts, quality ice cream at reasonable prices, and of course they have a full coffee and smoothie menu. This morning I had Spanish Eggs (115 baht) which was very tasty and unique to Udon. I believe they open and 09h00.
A DOSE partner lived in Australia for five years and seems to be tuned in to contemporary western dishes, well presented, and in a nice cosy atmosphere.
IMO a great place to chill out for a coffee, cold drinks and nice fusion foods as well.
google maps have its location for you

A nice day (rainy, cool) for a cuppa and my favorite coffee place....Dose. Nothing better than an after lunch cup of good coffee.....and a slice of tiramisu. While there, the staff was conducting taste tests of some of their most recent roasts. They explained that it's standard to taste test each new roast in a variety of brews. It ensures quality, but also gives the staff lots of experience in the art of taste testing coffee.
My coffee taste buds are refined enough to know a good cup of coffee from a bad....but not enough to sniff out the characteristics of a good cup and a really good cup.
I still rank Dose as my top place to take visiting guests to Udon......I know the service, atmosphere and food will be top notch. I'm glad to see them doing well and keeping up the same high standards after being in business for several years.

Parrot, is this not The Dose Factory which is in a different location than their sister company Dose Espresso? On the map below, the location of Dose Espresso is indicated by the double red dots, then one can plainly see The Dose Factory indicated by the large arrow. Click on the photo to enlarge for better viewing.parrot wrote: ↑July 4, 2017, 4:16 pmA nice day (rainy, cool) for a cuppa and my favorite coffee place....Dose. Both are great places but a bit pricy for my wallet; however, price is certainly a relative factor depending upon ones willingness and ability to pay for a better quality dining experience.
Colossians 2:8-10...See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. For in HIM dwells all the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily; and you are complete in HIM, who is the head of all principality and power.

You're right, semperfiguy, it's the Dose Factory. But the coffee and desserts at both places (same owners) are consistently good (to my taste buds).
You're also right about price......but I've never been disappointed or felt I didn't get my money's worth.

Their takeaway coffee beans are of the highest standard, a great find in Udon Thani.
