Nok,who used to run the Book house café, cooked at The Brick and Sportsbar has now opened her own place.

Someone needs to advise her to get rid of that monstrosity above the "Green Curry" sign ......perhaps a nice pic of an individual instead

Wishing her good luck as she is known to provide good tasty food (especially the chunky chips)

The Country Grill

Post by rct » April 29, 2020, 4:16 am

Thread totally lacking detail, or is Noks new place a secret society?

***

I miss "Le Country Grill" and in particular Alain, though suppose his original venue is unrelated and different location? Is he still around and operating somewhere?

Looking forward to eating out again.

Alain is not working somewhere. He is enjoying the life of retirement. Relaxing and going for rides with the motorcycle with his friends

Ok thanks for the replies on all points.

Looking forward to popping back in at Nok's "Le Country Grill". Especially if the layout is the same, pool table and all.

We had a nice meal there Saturday and wanted to join the Sunday roast next day. But the smoke of cigarettes coming from the bar made us change our decision and turn around. We drove to Kinnaree restaurant instead.

^ Sounds like the place was mobbed on Sunday and they was serving seated customers on Saturday the 2nd as well. Busy times!

Good luck to Nok and her crew when most restaurants are finding the social distancing restrictions unworkable.

Pool table is there but on terrace at front. Plenty of seating. Fantastic specials, lots of variety in the menu, great value and taste.

Worth checking out for sure.

criticism should always be constructive and in your case I can say it is not waste of your time printing and waste of my time reading

I would think that in this instance, criticism of another members criticism would only apply if BOTH parties have partaken of the curries, no?

Criticism could be positive or negative, the problem might reside in the way this criticism is carried out. I never allowed my kids to use words such as Y** to described food, meals, dishes i always wanted them to EXPLAIN why they did NOT like a food, a dish. Mr Joepai i believe it would be useful for the UDONMAP readers to know WHY you pointed out that the curries in your opinion are Y**... Too sweet, too salty, too spicy, soupy, very little meat, small portion, tasteless, etc etc.
Mr Joepai i agree with you that all comments are welcome.. Stay safe. Have a nice evening-day.

Well guys, just after new year l bought 10 meals
from the country grill to take home and freeze for days when we can't be bothered cooking. 6 were curries
NO COMPAINTS. Actually they were excellent.

Yesterday we bought 12 meals for the freezer
and I'm sure they will be fine.
If you found something wrong with your meal it would be better to have a talk to her rather than complain on a forum.
