A bridge too far?

Post by tamada » May 25, 2020, 11:21 am

Thailand's top government mullers are mulling if tourists from low-risk nations could be 'pipelined' to Thailand's low-risk destinations.

"BANGKOK • The Thai authorities are mulling over waiving quarantine requirements for selected foreign travellers when the ban on incoming commercial flights is lifted, by matching tourists from low-risk countries with low-risk destinations within the kingdom."

Maybe in anticipation of those bypassing Bangkok, Phuket and Krabi, Udon's businesses should be spruiking their currently slim offerings.

At present I'd rather not visit than have to stand in a queue at Swampy for an hour with North Americans or Europeans. I also don't want to have my finger prints taken. The Thais need to make entry into the country less threatening.
