sheep & livestock need grazing pasture . long
rolling empty fields. they can't be herded through
dense , wooden thickets . hence, the deforestation

highland clearances ? are we talking about the
same historical period? a nauseating betrayal

hundreds of thousands? forced out of cottages
they had occupied for generations , made to flee
the fortunate ones who didn't starve or freeze
got onto boats to go to canada , u.s. or elsewhere

a systematic cleansing attempting to wipe all
existing culture and clan structure off the region

You lads discussing Scotland should at least be trying to throw in one sentence about Russia.

Putin has cancer, Parkinson's and 'schizophrenic symptoms'.
I hope the ***** drops dead soon. That might save 10,000s of lives and enormous misery.

It was reported on a news channel that Russia is going to introduce mass conscription - they are running out of cannon fodder. The children of many middle class Russians are taking gap years in increasing numbers.... to anywhere except in Russia.

Putin's top military commander has been wounded in Ukraine and sent back to Russia just days after he arrived to take charge of the war.
That plan didn't last long.

As a lateral thought, just maybe Russia has turn ed off its feed into Ukraine, not that , that has been reported either.

No. Gazprom is still fulfilling it's obligations to European customers. I'm pretty confident if/when Putin plays this ace card, western media will make sure everyone knows. There will be emergency sessions at the UN and Sweden will jump Finland on the NATO queue.

Yes, as reported on April 27, 2022. and old news.

The Ukrainians have allegedly just turned off a spigot that's INSIDE Ukraine, nothing to do with Gazprom.

"The Ukrainian GTS made the announcement Tuesday in a statement posted to its website. ..."

Hope this helps.

which of course begs the question, since Russia invaded Ukraine and the Ukraine vociferously supports an embargo on Russian oil and gas why are they just shutting off those pipelines now?
