Just for information. I had to wire a friend in Laos some money. took a few failed attempts but found out if you need to send money by western union go to the service counter at Robinson's. Cost me 160 baht to send 10,000.

Relatively cheap.

From Indonesia 7.500 BAHT by Western Union to Thailand the cost is 90,000.00 IDR =273.273 THB

sent 10,000 baht received $335.98 in Laos. Had option to receive $ or Kip in Laos.
