I'm going for Buttler to come good and England to sneak it.
Half right. We didnt really sneak it.

I heard the Aussie commentators suggesting that Smith will be replaced for the next game. Not sure if I agree with that but, then again, I thought Root should have been in the England squad. What do I know!?

Aussies will still qualify and might have an easier SF draw now.

Buttler obviously brilliant (including a great run out) but, brilliant captaincy by Morgan - no way would I have given Woakes, our top bowler, a 3 ball over. Every decision he made worked.

Batting second is clearly a huge advantage. If that had been one of the top 4 or 5 teams, we might have lost.

Not bothered to look at the rules (they keep changing to suite the situation) but I notices the Aus v WI game takes place b4 SA v Eng . Does this mean SA and Eng can manipulate a result/run rate that gets SA through regardless of if Aus beat WI or not?

SA 189 - 2

If England fail to score 131 runs then SA in semi finals

Your Nostradamus thoughts and scoring manipulation by the poms nearly paid off. Will be interesting to see if the poms can make the final against the Aussies whom are attempting their first cup win.

Shame we don't have the tours we used to when the touring side played most of the state first elevens. Vics would definitely give the Poms a run for their money on the very lively MCG deck. Let's hope they produce one as quick and bouncy for boxing day.

VICTORIA 9/313d & 5/248d
NEW SOUTH WALES 140 & 247
COMPLETE
8th Match, Day 4, Session 3, Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne
VICTORIA WON BY 174 RUNS

Cricket 2021

First 20/20 semi coming up very soon will allow bragging rights between NZ and England.
Gotta feeling the tournament favorites will fall to our South Pacific cousins.
Not sure about Pakistan , the Aussie have a power packed batting lineup. If they fire as a group.
Hope the 4 man NSW bowling squad can hold the run rate.
Absolute unbiased opinion
Aussie Kiwi final.

Yeah, right :D

Cant see the Aussies beating Pakistan.

England, without Roy, are a different team. Bairstow will open but, he's been struggling. Malan doesn't play well in these conditions and Morgan is another out of form. In spite of this, I still think we will have too much for NZ and, will win.

Fine margins though so, a lot will depend on the toss in both games.

Have to agree samster, the worrying thing is the Aussies have an experienced bunch of tossers after so many years practice
