OGS will be safe even if United lose.....
"The clock is truly ticking for Solskjaer now. This was the Norwegian’s 151st game in charge, with only Dave Sexton allowed to remain at United for longer without producing a trophy. It was tempting to believe that this would be the night when the purpose of the club’s much-vaunted cultural reboot revealed itself, when a European success – much like Ferguson’s Cup Winners’ Cup in Rotterdam in 1991 – would give the manager a springboard for future prosperity. Except Solskjaer’s United look less like a dynasty than a castle built on sand."

Why didn't he sub the goalie before the penalty shoot out that beggers believe last time De Gea saved a penalty was 2016 whilst Henderson has saved 6 in the last year

My understanding is De Gea MISSED his penalty kick, not let in one too many but I see you point with Henderson's better stopping record.

Had one been saved he wouldn't have needed to take his turn at kicking hence would have been the better option to have Henderson between the sticks

Good point well made. But if Henderson had dropped a howler... When was he last tested between the sticks?

Before the game De Gea has let in the last 25 penalties in a row Henderson's last save was in February and he has a 47% record of keeping them out, just saying......

^ So it's true, OGS was asleep at the wheel. What was his record against Unai Emery's Arsenal? I wonder why he was so late to bring on any subs or missed this obvious stalemate breaker with Henderson? Did their GK coach have laryngitis? If they have one I mean?
How're the ManU fan sites taking this piss poor showing? Looks to me they've got themselves a bit of a Tesla at Old Trafford.

Tonight it's the UEFA Champions League Final between Chelsea and Manchester City.
Guaranteed to be an English winner, City will start as hot favourites but Chelsea beat them twice recently in the League and FA Cup.
If Chelsea score first it could be interesting...
Kick off is 2am Sunday Thai time.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

Still got that nagging thought that there has never ever been a "first time finalist" win the CL, and I'm sure TT has drilled it into his players that they don't want that record to change

By no means a classic .. as i predicted Chelsea win 1-0 with a 42nd min goal by Havertz .. to stop a Man City EPL n CL double.
Not sure if this effects the CL teams to qualify as Chelsea being winners means they qualify automatically for next years comp... do Leicester sneak in ??
Well done to Chelsea .. another 4 seasons this could be Scunny !!

Chelsea deserved their victory but if OGS got stick for Man Utd's failure in the Europa League then surely Pep deserves the same for his team selection... no defensive midfielder or out and out striker in his line up.
City's midfield lacked fluency and any attacks were easily broken up by MOM Kante.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

That's why he's in for Sergio Ramos ............ to play the "you'd better not touch our skilled players" Goon hockey role
The reason he doesn't get as much bad press is because he isnt a total waste of space like Ole

The Enforcer. I missed his knock with Modric though. He's a hard wee bugger as well.
Doesn't our Harry at ManU also play statues at inopportune moments?
