UD Center, your guess is as good as mine.

license, get an international license at AAA before coming over, then you don't need to take any test for lhai license. takes 10 minutes and 10 bucks 7 yrs ago. then when here, take to license office and it's just a paperwork thing, no testing. unless you want something you don't already have. such as motorbike license.

LOL LA, Things have changed recently. It's now a PITA to get a Thai Driving Licence.
Suggest John reads a few posts on the Map and see the problems members have recently had. Might put him off.

There's more to it than that:

1. A Non-Immigrant "0" visa is required.
2. International Drivers License
3. A proof of residency letter is required which becomes PITA, unless you get from the Embassy or you have a yellow book Tabien Baan.
3. Medical certificate, which of all things it's the easiest to acquire.

Here are a few post worth a read:

What I posted before are the requirements for the Udon Land Transportation office. It could very well be that other provinces requirements are more relaxed.

I wouldn't take it for granted that just because it was easy for your Texan buddy that's its going to go the same for you. But UP2U how much preparation you want to put into it.

Keep in mind what LA wrote:

Good one LA,

I think this should be displayed at entrance of every government office.

LA, parrot are you using Internet Explorer or Firefox to access the internet?

Reason I ask I have hit that site a few times now & have never had a problem (except for the speed of load).
I have AVG (which is normally pretty good at spotting viruses & up to date) & also ThreatFire - which runs continuously. I also have done a complete AVG scan today - with no viruses discovered.

Rather the website then you eh Parrot.

It seems that the ud site has an invasive script running which is reporting to ip address: 58.65.234.9:80

Seems to be a bunch of hackers or something based in Hong Kong :? make sure your firewalls are up to date if visiting the site.

vista IE, trend pc-cillin. caught coming in, then a rather large update file from trend, 2nd one this week, so someone is busy out there.

1st virus spotted from 'normal' site. caught one about month ago, from a site listed on google search for researching viruses. pretty good, research a virus info site, and it's a scam site from a sicko, got a chuckle from it, but sad. don't even get much spyware anymore, less i'm surfing for pics.
