Cheddar? I assumed that they make mild cheddar because enough people like it to justify the expense. If peoplpe don't like it, where is it all going?

To paraphrase Eastwood, you have made my day Pappa. I had previously thought Goats Milk was unavailable in Udonthani. Very happy, thank you. :D
After many decades of thinking I was benefitting, healthwise, from drinking Goats Milk, as a much preferred alternative to Cows milk, only now do I learn it is only for kids. :-" Think I will persist with a lifetime habit, nevertheless. ;)
Really pushing my luck, would be really grateful if any member could advise where I could find a source selling COTTAGE CHEESE.

Sorry Matt have never looked, not my sort of thing at all.

However it looks exceedingly easy to make - here are 3 ways, obtaining rennet might be a challenge, vinegar or lemon certainly would not be...

If you do ever manage to convince the better looking one who resides at your residence to make some then here are some ideas about what can be done with the waste whey, rather than just throwing it down the drain...

Thanks very much Bob, for taking the time, and making the effort to help. Much appreciated, even by the person now saddled with the task of fulfilling yet another of my endless culinary demands! :-"

Thanks Socksy, I will check again over the week-end

Cottage cheese...about 2 meters right of the goats milk, 3rd shelf up. Small servings size, about the size of a yogurt container.

I buy cottage cheese at Makro, Tesco and Villa Market. It is not always found at any of those stores. Usually get Foremost brand. It ain't real cheap. 150 grams about ฿35 to ฿40. I use it mostly in recipes.

Not sure there are any shopping "deals" at the moment, as any savings will be lost by having to clean clothes and buy cold medicines after being dowsed by dirty water :-"

Recommend you use hot tea or coffee to dunk your digestives ....... they won't taste the same if soaked in muddy iced water :-&

Zolito Dark Roast coffee beans, 500gm, 150 baht.
A wide variety of fresh beef......may not appeal to those with loose teeth, but sometimes the wife hits a jackpot and gets tenderloin. Today was one of those days.

Beautiful, LARGE beefsteak tomatoes in Tops Market. Not cheap, but really nice looking on a burger. Each pack 119 baht. Some have 6 piece, some 5 (but larger).
