This Week's Shopping Deal
Re: This Week's Shopping Deal
I was there yesterday, still in the exact same location as my previous visit, albeit with a much reduced footprint, and substantially less stock. The assistant advised us that a new M&S outlet will open shortly inside Central.

Re: This Week's Shopping Deal
Many years ago in my formative youth, I was taught a very salutary lesson by my mother, it was DEAL / SALE etc, is only benifical if the item you see is a NEED, and not a WANT . I read so much about Foods on offer, well after all the time here, many foods previously on the NEEDS list have dissipated into , never mind, for example, when first here Pies were a rarity as was the choice of Cheeses , and Pork Pies and good sausages equally rare.
Now all those tasty foods are available from many places, so a deal is no longer an essential part of my daily requirements but keep up the good wpork folks, you never know your deals might just spark some interest....lol

Haud yer wheesht
Used to tell someone to be quiet or shut up. The hallmark of Scottish motherhood since time immemorial.
Blether
Catching up, gossiping and talking for extended periods of time would all fall under the umbrella of ‘having a blether’. Best done over a cup of tea or dram of whisky.
Skite
To go out on the skite means to have a (usually alcohol-fuelled) night out. Some of the most legendary nights on the skite take place in Edinburgh’s thriving bars, pubs and clubs.

In fact most beers here are like Gnats Pee, but then to each their own, keep up the good work on trawling through the shops for deals .

Agree! Dunkin donuts here are nothing like Dunkin donuts in the US. Last one I tried I got a mouth full of grease.
