Thai Airways new business plan

Wrote to Thai Airways last week, asking when we will see a drop in the Fuel surcharge tax , that was introduced 2-3 years ago when the price of Oil was $140 odd. Its now down below $90 consistently and has been dropping for some time.

Thai Airways new business plan

This is a quote from the UK's 'Daily Telegraph' about the problems of the Euro. The same applies to trying to sort out the problems of Thai Airways. Quote. "There are too many egos, too many careers and too much vested interest bound up in it all to admit the reality." Inefficient management, cronyism, thousands of free Government and family passengers etc - an airline run by the 'elite' for the benefit of the 'elite' at the cost of Thai people!

Ive just flown UTH to BKK on Smile with 46 kg checked baggage. No charges.

BKK -LAX on TG . Fairly full also and its 1 route they say might go with cost cutting.

Friends in KK annoyed as some flights now arriving in DM and 2 in Swampy

Now, ThaiSmile also starts with flight time changes that are unpredictable and not explained to their customers.
This within a short period of one month only.

Had a confirmed itinerary for a April return flight to BKK that will now change both departure times. As the changes are rather small (less than an hour) they won't hurt me - the connecting flights.

But in general: is ThaiSmile not able to develop a reliable time-table from the very beginning on? Even our bus companies or scho0ls can do that. Or to put it the other way around: What unforseen forces induce these schedule changes with flights leaving or arriving in Udon? Are the responsible persons all rookies in flight scheduling?
Please wear suitable clothing when attending a concert in Udon Thani. Slacks and short-sleeved shirts are ok, shorts, tank tops or muscle shirts are not.

Don’t worry about tomorrow. Today is terrifying enough.
I never forget a face, but in your case I can do an exception.

Mate of mine today. GOLD card with TG went to use points to buy 2 tickets to Vietnam on TG.

Had the points and stunned when the fees taxes and charges were greater than an Air Asia ticket fully priced.

Ok looses 30 kg baggage allowance.

Booked Air Asia.

747

In Oz Quaint Ass has refused to lower the fuel surcharge arguing they propped it up as fuel rose.

Result Millions of $ profit now for them.

Business class tickets on TG attract higher fees also. Asked why ? Told airport taxes. Looks like you pay for the Fast Track lanes and pasted on to the airlines. ????

Mind you better than US ..where a business class ticket has no fast lane priority for customs or immigration.

Wazza if you are Thai Gold there is the 2015 B'day deal at the moment with Thai points.
I may use it when I fly back to Aussie this year
50% points deal. Round trip to Sydney usually is 120,000 points now a 1 off 60,000 for me OR a designated member,

but I tried to go last year to Sydney on points for the 2 of us and after checking the 2 flights with my points I would still only get 1 free ticket after the tax was added to each flight. Meaning the tax was the equivalent of return 1 ticket.
