I enquired about traveling from Udon to Buriram and i was informed the drive no problem only roadside temp checks , if going into Buriran city had to go into a designated hotel for quarantine 14 days .. i was not going into the city but to a rural village location so instructed to report to the village Headman/pooyaiban and stay at my home for minimum 14 days and also he had to check in on we daily basis ... the village headmen get in serious trouble if this is not followed and a manned police box has been sent up in the village.

Going to Bkk i would imagine much the same with the government having utilized some hotels for quarantine.

So there IS (technically) a travel ban ........ you could almost walk to Bkk in the time it would take to get through quarantine.

I suppose if your appointment is for some time in May you could leave now and make the appointment

Same as maaka reported, our niece returned to the family village and the headman (phu yai ban) insisted that she quarantine at home for 14 days.

where did you get 4 weeks from fred?

May is only 14 days away and that seems to be what everyone is saying the isolation period is

STWW, doesnt it fill you with hope to know that apple/google are developing the tech that will let us know when we are near a CV19 hotspot, if google thinks ya can walk to BKK in 4 days, and apple have used their wealth of experience to declare that people are not traveling as much since the worldwide lockdowns commenced ......(no kid sherlock)

The walking time doesn’t allow for breaks so it’s a modest speed of 4.88 kilometres per hour
It Should maybe be given as 103 hours. :?

Train is still running albeit cattle car only. SRT suspended operating air-conditioned express, rapid, sleeper and dining trains end of last month due to lack of passengers.
