Good point, JK. If it was a day then it would be fairly busy. So, I don't know. I imagine it might be a day of the quick stuff and then another day to discuss any results.

Incidentally, these people are South African and hoping to break into the British private medicine market.

I don't know mate. They are very professional though. I used them for vaccinations last year before going to LOS. I paid £40-00 for Polio, Typhoid and Tetanus. My NHS nurse said I'd need Hep A but the clinic said it was not required. I had as long as I wanted in the surgery and the staff were very pleasant. A big change from my normal NHS surgery. After what Phil R has said, I think I'll get a medical this year or next, I'll probably do it in Thailand though.

Hep A , should have, spread via gastro intetsinal route. Would have had it years ago , when ur defending the country ?

Knowing the way food is prepared here, highly recomended.

its 2 shots, with a 30 day break inbetween

Even if you got it done in Udon next time etc

in not in a monogamist relationship, hep b is extremely recommended, same as hep a, series of think 3 shots, initial, 30 days, then 90 days. if going to borders a lot and spending lots of time, Jap. Encephalitis may be in order, also used to be 3 shots, int. 30 day, 6 months, i think, little iffy on that one, think they have it down to less shots or time or both. tetanus is always good to get, local village gave it to me, had to order it, as didn't stock, needs refrigerated. no charge. referred my to hosp. for rest. if you medical pays for it at home, get there. not expensive, but not cheap either, especially now, as i notice everything is up well over 100 % over 5 years ago.

YES, hep a/b came as a combo about 6 years about, 2000 baht rings a bell, jap enc was seperate, and was more exp, maybe 3500 for all 3. unless really spending time in surrounding areas for long periods, may want to pass on jap enc, and if not into trekking.

probably have receipts somewhere, but guessing 100 % increase. make sure from good source, refrigged and expire date. hep a/b will be was diminished in 3-4 years, gone this year. so a booster every 3 would be about right, unless exposed, then free booster      8) ouch
